Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMy boyfriend is 6'5" so sometimes he would need to crouch & feel a bit cramped in the bathroom but that's not the fault of the hotel, it's something we expected when visiting Japan and adjusted accordingly
Charming decor, friendly approachable staff, great location

United StatesI didn't realize how loud it would be at night. We are quite easy sleepers but the noise did affect us. The location about 10min from the train station and isn't close to anything convenient. Luckily we only stayed one night. There was only one person working during checking out peak period. She was over worked and everyone had to wait for their breakfast orders.
The hotel is honest in telling people it's under the railway and can be noisy. It's clean

United StatesThe only "complaint" is based on someone else's review who said, "you can barely hear the train" that is a BS review! You can Definitely hear the train rumbling above the bedroom. Though the staff provides ear plug amenities so that was nice of them!
The staff was friendly. The location is excellent near central Akihabara and the JR station. The beds are clean and comfy. The vibe of the cafe lounge has a nice cozy intimate feel. A lot of non-hotel guests also go to the cafe.

United StatesWhile it didn’t bother us and we were able to sleep well, the train noise is noticiable. Additionally this hotel is across the street from the fire station/EMSand those sirens were more noticeable than the train. Nevertheless, all four of us had no problems getting a good night’s sleep.
Great location. Easy walking distance to the Jr line and the Tokyo metro Hibuya line. Small facility. Cute coffee bar and restaurant. With the heat we really appreciated the ice water in the lobby. Staff was great holding onto luggage for us. Rooms had a great layout for our family of four. Bathroom was tiny but functional. I appreciated the number of outlets near all of the beds.

United KingdomWe knew that being under the railway would be a little noisy, but earplugs were provided, so this was not much of a negative. We still slept well.
Affordable accommodation in a convenient location for getting around the city. Staff were very friendly and there were complimentary toiletries if needed. Room was air conditioned and free WiFi.

CanadaIt was a fantastic location just a short walk away from Akihabara station, 1 block from the hub of electric town and close to many places to eat yet somehow on a quiet street (just occasional siren from fire hall across the road) The room was comfortable and easily slept our family of 5. The cafe in front was very cute and made for an easy breakfast one morning. The sound of the trains above was expected but did not bother us at all (more of a rumble than anything else).

United StatesRooms were small. But it wasn't terrible.
Location was great! If you wanted to stay in a pod, this hotel's rooms were just a bit bigger than that. I could stand in the middle of my room and touch the walls with flat palms. If you are a person larger than 6' you would probaly not be very comfortable.

United KingdomThere was nothing that I did not like about this property :) however, I would not recommend it if you are sensitive to noise (there are trains passing by right above the hotel).
Amazing location in the heart of Akihabara, friendly staff, great value for money and a unique hotel. Loved it so much and will definitely book again when I am in the area.

TaiwanThe trains passing overhead do make noise, but not a problem for heavy sleepers or noise-cancelling earbuds. The towels provided would shed lint, so I'd recommend bringing your own towel.
Friendly staff, excellent location. Bathroom was extremely clean, and the rooms were roomier than expected. The decor helped liven up an otherwise dreary room. The front desk provides most amenities.
