Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe bathroom is very tiny. The bath towels didn't smell very fresh. Maybe they could be dried more thoroughly.
The location is very convenient for travelling around. A short walk to Akihabara station. There are plenty of food and shopping places nearby. I slept well. The rumbling of the trains didn't disturb me at all. I enjoyed the green tea provided by the hotel.

United KingdomTrain noise - as expected the trains were noisy, but somehow were even louder than expected, can be very difficult to sleep although they do stop for the night at a certain point so you can get a good 5 hour sleep. The walls between rooms were also paper thin- we had a group of 4 lads and then a family with kids and it was as if they were having a conversation in your room.
Very close to centre of Akihabara and station. Very comfy room. Clean and nice shower. Staff very nice and helpful- could store luggage before and after. Good size room that you could open a suitcase on the floor of.

Singaporethe room was really smelly when we just checked in, the toilet especially. the toilet was also really small. the soundproof of the room was quite bad we could hear very loud noises from cars and ambulance on the streets
it was near places to shop at, there were sufficient amenities, there was a nice resting lounge at the front of the desk. the staffs are really nice and friendly, the QR code scanning to get into the rooms are very convenient

United StatesStaff was helpful and the room was sizeable enough to accommodate the full group. I thought the train would be a disturbance to sleep but it wasn't!

AustraliaDidn't effect me at all though please be mindful this place is right under a train line. I didn't mind it, as I can sleep through almost anything.
Location and facilites were spot on. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! Perfect spot and at most a 2 min walk to Akihabara station and the main shopping street. A must stay for when I return next year.

New ZealandUnsurprisingly the train noise. It’s not as bad as I had imagined and I easily fell asleep after a long day sightseeing, but I was woken soon after the trains started running in the morning.
Good location and clean, had all of the facilities I needed

MalaysiaWe only booked for 1 night because we wanted to experience a hotel located right under the railway. Didn't expect that we really like the hotel. Should've book for a couple of nights instead :(
1. Bathroom inside the room. 2. Amenities provided - toothbrush, slippers, shampoo, body shampoo, shaver, mini bar, kettle 3. Lots of hangers :) 4. Smooth check in and check out process. 5. There's an elevator. 6. Short walking distance to Akihabara Station (JR).

AustraliaThis did not happen the last time we stayed and even though the property is extremely safe since you have to release the door from the inside also to leave, this happened several times throughout the night that people tried to open our door. Our last night it occurred around 10pm and again at 4pm, I noticed it from the 2nd night and it happened every single night. We assumed it may be someone getting their room mixed up however it was extremely unsettling and frightening as we could see the door handle turn.
Super clean, helpful staff, front desk closes late, super convenient location and you can ask for extra pillows if needed with no extra charge. This was our second time staying here!

United StatesGreat hotel if you want to hear drunk people screaming in the rooms next to you all night. Every night, we had to talk to the front desk, and they could hear which room we were talking about as soon as they entered the hallway. The trains overhead are quieter. All day, you hear traffic noise and whistling through the door like it's in your room. This hotel only services tourists who stay for a short time, so they'll never improve, and the staff either doesn't care or can't do anything. Only stay here if you're an obnoxious white man with yellow fever looking to get trick rolled by a maid cafe girl or a clown car worth of Chinese family that laugh like a demonically possessed chicken all night. Uncomfortable room with such poor amenities that i went to donki hote and bought new toilet paper. I wished i had brought a towel. The entire hotel is such a trip hazard that you'll be glad the ambulances, which you'll hear all night through the thin door, are right across the street. If you have any mobility challenges, you won't even make it into the room. Don't expect to use Yamato either; they only do COD, which no other hotel will accept, making it basically useless. Hotels in the middle of nowhere had boxes and tape ready and allowed payment by card or cash. Idk how a hotel in akiba of all places is so useless on this front. There's a very good reason these large rooms are so cheap and strangely available. Stay at a biz hotel, unless i described you above, in which case, please quarantine yourself here, it's what you deserve. I deeply regret choosing this hotel over a nearby APA or something. Even if you try to use the cafe, their register was down and they just told people to leave instead of doing cash transactions or having a backup.
The location is the only positive, and it doesn't outweigh the many negatives.

AustraliaI expected this hotel to be noisy, I was well aware of the train sounds from the station nearby but I had no idea that along with the regular train sounds there is also a constant "thunk thunk!!" from what I assume is trains moving over a gap in the tracks? The banging is so loud that you can physically feel it and it only stops between 1am and 430am. Even ear plugs/music in headphones up loud doesn't block the sound. The bathroom is tiny and ventilation is poor so it smells quite damp. Small room with lots of floor space taken up by bed frames/ladders makes it hard to move around. No double bed for adults. No room cleaning throughout our stay. Minimal amenities in the hotel. Poor lighting in the room. Only one big light for the entire space so when our child was asleep we were stuck with only small lamps for the entire space. Difficult to get a comfortable temperature from the air-conditioning.
The location is great. Central Akihabara and right near transport. Close to food and activities. QR code makes room access easy.

AustraliaNone of the family slept due to the sound of the trains. It is exceptionally loud. There is no soundproofing in the rooms. There were 4 hours of no trains, which was our only relief. This was not advertised well enough regarding the loudness. We understood it was an understood railway, but in our previous experience, the rooms were well soundproofed.
Newer hotel, lovely rooms, good amenities, the staff were lovely.

AustraliaI disagree with the previous reviews saying that "you can barely notice the train noise" - I found it disturbing / loud. Earplugs didn't help much.
Amazing location with well decorated rooms. It's great for a short stay in Tokyo. The staff was very friendly. The bar/café was a great add-on.

PhilippinesWe didn't mind the loud train sounds going on from 4am-12mn since we knew about it beforehand, but if you're sensitive to loud sounds this is not the place for you.
Location was perfect, since it's near Akihabara station it's easily accessible. The hotel also had a cafe so you can buy food/beverages anytime. Wifi is fast.

SingaporeFront staff not friendly and impatient, we tried to check in our 5x luggages earlier, they didn't even tag all our luggages and push in to store. When we tried to retrieve our luggages, true enough, short of 2. They don't provide drinking water in the room.
Location is good.
