Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Singaporelack of places to hang stuff in the toilet, no key to the rooms when you leave. they give u a tag that you have to pass to them when you leave and collect when returning but nothing lost so we’re ok with it
Clean and new. lots of really detailed amenities provided we didn’t expect like hair straighteners, massage chairs, mouth wash, bath tubs etc. Room was big and spacious. Room service was awesome 😎 there was a wide variety of food and all were tasty esp the tonkatsu set! we had a great stay here. reception was friendly too helped to book dinner reservations via phone to our next accommodation. All in all will recommend

United StatesNot a dislike, but make sure you go to the right hotel. There's like 3 Varkin hotels within a 10 min walking span of each other. Also, just a heads up, this is a love hotel so you will have to walk through a love hotel area to get to it.
I would unironically stay here again. I wanted a larger hotel room in Ikebukuro, and both my partner and I wanted to experience a love hotel in Japan, so this was perfect! Tbh, I'm starting to think love hotels are the only way to go in Tokyo. The room and bed were HUGE, which I've never seen in a Tokyo hotel before. Usually, they're so small you're wondering how you're even going to fit your luggage in it. We had ample space for all of our luggage, including our two huge sized ones. It also had a big bath with a TV above it, lots of amenities like a face mask and skin care treatment, a massage chair, LOTS of complimentary water bottles, and 5 different mood lighting options. We really enjoyed being able to order food to the room until like 1am without ever having to come in contact with staff. We got the pumpkin soup and beef stroganoff-- very good! We also loved that we could easily get extensions for the room (since it's a love hotel, hourly extensions is the base model). It worked FANTASTIC for us and our needs on our last day with the late day flight we had. Would recommend!

United Kingdomlocation is a little further from the train station/central attractions than we're used to, but still a great place to stay
Room was spacious with nice skincare amenities, even a hair curling iron/straightener, great value for money, I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a nice view of ikebukuro from the window while using the bath, one of the nicest love hotels we stayed at

United KingdomThe door is unlockable from the outside, which means you don't get any key when you stay here. If you go out, you have to trust that it's safe to keep things in the room. However, since we are in Japan, it's much less worrying.
The room is superb, and spacious. I could open all my 6 luggages in just a corner of the room. There is a sauna, jaccuzi, massage chair, best quality hair dryer and hair iron. They have every amenities you need in place, e.g. bath powder, facial mask, etc.

Japanone thing I want keen on was the door lock. I understand for a shot stay people are there for a short time, but when leaving the place I have to hand a disk to the reception and ask them to lock the door. each time I came back the door was unlocked. perhaps they unlock and lock from a button on the desk but I could see no way it was possible with the lock attached to the door.
Everything, at first I wasn’t happy with the first room as it was missing some facilities expressed on the website, I spoke to the staff and they upgraded my room. The second had everything including a Sauna, the room was huge, bed is lovely and big, massive 4K TV with VOD, could log into Netflix etc. karaoke was great. very very clean
