The whole building is really comfortable, you have everything close and practical. The location is close to Shibuya station and there are tons of combinis around for quick and yummy food. The staff is amazing, always ready to help, shout out to German who gave me great tips on how to go around nice anime stores and places, he's great! 😄 Beds are comfortable, you have curtains for privacy and sockets to charge your electronics. The showers are great too, they all have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel! Definitely good for travelers who can't take too much stuff inside baggage like me. 10/10 super recommend this hostel, will definitely stay here again when I come back.

I would say 60% of the time there was no hot water in the showers. At one point I waited probably 30 minutes for the water to barely get to room temperature

Super clean family room with 2 bunk beds and shared bathroom. Beds were comfy, each had hangers and a night light and a curtain. Not a lot of place to put the luggage in the room but we only stayed one night so we did not unpack. Showers and toilets are modern and clean. Location is walking distance to Shibuya scramble crossing. Safe surroundings and relatively quiet. They offer easy food at the bar in the lobby area.

The walls are paper thin and there were a lot of people hanging out in the hallways directly outside our room. It was impossible to sleep. This would be a good place to stay if you plan on going out all night and coming back late and passing out from alcohol. Otherwise, avoid it. You won’t be able to sleep. I could literally hear the people next door on their phones, blowing their nose, coughing, etc.

Clean, friendly staff, pretty good location in terms of being close to the action, but bad location in that it is on a loud street with cars.

The locker was very small, most of the luggage needed to stay unlocked. But there was no issues during my trip.

I booked this accommodation for 5 friends visiting me. It was great, close enough to Shibuya, but quiet. I would definitely stay here again. It's really cost-effective.

Staff holding a rave in the main area at 3am on a sunday night. woke up myself, my partner, and everybody else. I don't expect hostels to be quiet all the time, but they have signs that ask guests to keep quiet after midnight, and yet they pull that stunt. the worst part is that there was no warning. if you are looking for a place to sleep in Tokyo, this is not the place for you. you will not get any sleep with the raves happening.

The location is a bit away from central Shibuya for me also lack of common room makes it hard to socialise for a solo traveller.

Even though staff leave reminders on the bathroom wall to urge guests clean their hair after using, it seems not work. Sad for those guests.

I was convinced by the building outlook first. And then the outgoing front staff. They warmly welcomed me and I felt like returning home. The bed is really amazing. I would rank it as the top 3 in Tokyo. Also the layout of bed room and bathroom is designed perfectly to be divided and my sleep won’t be disturbed totally. Lastly, the location is also perfect. It’s close to many tourist spots and save lots of time. I would rank WISE OWL HOSTEL the best hostel in yamate line at area.

My neighbors and one of my dorm mate ask me to go outside or even far when i am packing my things. They are too sensitive to noise. I hope next time if you want total silence and rest you can go rent a private room instead of being too sensitive and asked me to pack things where you dont hear noise. By the way! I was scam too! I don’t know if i will still be receiving the refund! Too bad!!!

Not many restaurants or cafes near by, most of the ones that I wanted to go to were about a 15-20 minute walk. You can't have any guests come up to your room.

Location was really nice with a small station that was easily accessible. Many convience stores were around the property and was only a 20 minute walk away from Shibuya.

The beds were uncomfortable, especially the pillows - Rock hard. The room had no space for luggage. We had to squeeze ours in behind the door. The laundry machines were awful. The dryer is really bad. We had to use it 4 times to dry our clothing. I would recommended staying at another hostel that’s also closer to the train station and main area. There isn’t really a communal area also to hang out in.

Although its advertised as being in Shibuya, the place is not really in Shibuya, rather it’s in Meguro City, about 20min walk from Shibuya crossing scramble. Not much to eat nearby, you will have to walk 10-15min towards Shibuya for that. The hostel is expensive given its “closeness” to Shibuya. I’m not sure about the value for money.

I’ve stayed in other wise owl hostels across Japan and they’re generally all good and cater to international backpackers. Atmosphere is good and lively, staff are friendly and the place is generally clean and comfortable.
