Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesYou will be treated like family at Bun’s home. We loved that Bun was able to arrange all of our activities in Siem Reap, from airport pick up to wonderful and informative tours to family dinners. Bun and his family made our short trip to one our family will always treasure. Traveling with kids isn’t always easy but Bun understood that and was always flexible and accommodating. We hated to say goodbye.

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
The rustic, quiet, family home setting. I liked Bun's honesty and openness when booking, he made it clear that this was a family home without the luxuries and trappings of a slick hotel. I liked the shared meals with other guests. It was also good to be out of the noise of town. Bun was also a great guide for the temples, meaning we didn't have to go searching for guides or go with groups. A very good host.

SwitzerlandVery helpful host. Renting a scooter or a bicycle from the host is very easy and convenient. The breakfast and supper were lovely and always with vegetarian options. Free drinking water and access to hot coffee are other benefits. A/C, water, electricity all working fine. A book swap is there and connection with family and pets. Rickshaw to town is ca 2$, so if you want to go to pub street, all is easy.

FranceSome may not like the dogs and chicken noises but that's Cambodia for you. I found myself waking up early which was better for getting things done in the cooler weather.
The bun family welcomed me as one of their own, my room was colourful and cozy. I enjoyed the fact that it was slightly out of town and had the freedom to cycle easily into the center in 20mins max. (they rent great road bikes for $5 a day) Siem Reap is great for cycling !I even managed the small circuit of the temples by bike. They offered yummy breakfast and Cambodgien/ western dinners at their large family table with other expats often joining for chatty evenings. There are lots of cafes and European choices in town as well if you care for a change. Between travellers, you could often swap tourist and travel tips which helped me a great deal as a solo traveller. The family are also happy to help and give advice. I often read on the porch looking out at the fields after a long day, which was lovely - by the end they were calling me "Sister" or Jodi Foster since, apparently, I share a likeness 😆 A wonderful introduction to Siem Reap. Thank you family :)

JapanNothing not to like, just be aware that it is a homestay not a hotel.
I had a short but sweet stay. The family was very welcoming and helpful. It's not far from the city. The meals were delicious and you have the privacy of your own room with your own toilet.

FranceMr Bun and his family were very welcoming. The food was typical and very good (thanks to Bun’s mother). Mr Bun helped us organized everything during our trip including two days tuk tuk ride with our very kind and presureless driver Mr Covid who took us around the temples. We had an amazing time. Good experience and reality check for the kids. Root style for European standards, but great if you want a more authentic Cambodian experience.

PolandWe had real pleasure to stay with Mr Bun family for 4 days and that was really great time. They welcomed us as part of the family, sharing tasty breakfasts and dinners together, talking, playing with their cute children. Bun helped us in organizing sightseeing in the area. He guided us around Angkor temples, sharing with us his vast knowledge of history and culture. The house is typical Khmer house, simple but comfortable and clean. It’s bit on the edge of the town, in quiet area. Bun and his friends can arrange transport by car or tuk tuk, and there are also bicycles available. It’s unique opportunity to learn about local culture and life, experience real Cambodia with great family and their friends. Highly recommended.

United KingdomMy partner and I had an unforgettable and unique time at Bunyong Homestay. We are grateful for you welcoming us like family and providing invaluable knowledge about local history and attractions. We rented a scooter from Mr Bun and used map routes he created for us to make use of our time and see as much as possible. When it was time for us to move on, Mr Bun generously dropped us off at the bus depot. Mr Bun also had advice for visiting other lesser known attractions, such as the circus, pottery or cooking classes and the floating village. Every morning and evening we enjoyed joining the family and other guests for food around one communal table. One evening we even enjoyed celebrating the birthday of one of Mr Bun's daughters. We were happy with our accommodation, consisting of a large and comfortable room with air-con and private bathroom. Many thanks to Mr Bun, Mr Champion, and family!

IsraelI really liked this place because of its authenticity (house instead of hotel, meals at one table with a big family, etc.), that is, I did not feel like a simple tourist because I was always next to a local resident, ready to help me with the choice of special activities. After I finished the standard set of activities for tourists, I discovered many places that tourists do not even suspect, unless of course they thoroughly explore the topic. As a result, in a few days we drove more than a thousand kilometers and got into an unimaginable wilderness, which I was completely delighted with. I recommend this place to anyone looking for non-standard adventures.
