Very poor WIFI Hot water stream was poor but as we mainly showered during the day it was ok to shower with a cold stream We had some issues with our rooms (manager helped fix them)

Hotel manager was amazing. He arranged for us a different tasty breakfast every day and made sure that it included Gluten Free options He also helped arrange tours and made sure that when we paid for something it was at a good price Good location

Located on the main street, large room, comfortable bed, owner was very helpful with requests, breakfast was delicious. Owner recommended a surf instructor when we arrived and booked it for the following morning - would highly recommend Fais, we had a great morning surfing

The only problem in 3 weeks was at this place! This place is overpriced and not clean. The owner is the worst, lying about not being able to change the dates and not receiving my request from Booking.com He was avoiding us the whole time. Until there was a cockroach in our room, he got uncomfortable and wanted to finally help us to change our stay. At that time I could see on his phone that he was receiving all my requests from booking.com He promised me he would help us the day after and again he was lying. I don’t know how he gets the reviews online, but I assume it’s all fake.

Comfortable bed, very big bathroom, good AC, with balcony. The room has everything I needed and was clean. It's very quiet, no noise from the street in the room, but still located at the main street and close to the beach, just a short walk! The hotel has a restaurant so it's possible to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The breakfast is amazing, I especially like that I got a different breakfast every day and the portions are big. The staff is very nice. The owner is very kind and helped me with everything, I felt home here and ended up staying for a long time. I totally recommend this hotel, for short or long stays.

Truly a wonderful place and a gem in Arugam bay! Surf & Sand felt like a home away from home for us. The room was spacious and clean, AC working well, quiet at night and the best thing was the cooking- we got a different breakfast set every day and we ordered dinner several times as well as it was delicious - best (and by far the biggest!) plate of Kottu we had in Sri Lanka. The host family helped us with everything we needed like taxi service for a great price. The location is perfect, a walking distance to the beach, restaurants cafes and shops. Thanks for everything, we had a blast and would come back in the blink of an eye!

It’s was a very nice hotel that included amazing breakfast. The owner was kind and helpful and the rest of the staff as well. The hotel is located in the calmer side of Arugam Bay which was great for a good night sleep. :) We stayed in a double bed bedroom which had everything we needed.

The owner is super nice, the place is located in arugam bay with around 10 minutes walk to everywhere you want but still you don't have the noise from all the parties around. Room was big and spacious and include an AC. The owner can also include some tours around which was great and helped with everything I needed

We stayed here for 1 nights and everything was ok. The owner is super friendly and flexible and the breakfast is super good. You can customise breakfast as you wish as well can use the kitchen if you love to cook yourself. Highly recommended!
