Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Costa RicaNo complaints. Had a pleasant stay. Airport transportation provided, also, so no complaints...
Just a few blocks from the Zocalo square, this hotel's staff manages to offer warmth and a very friendly attitude to its guests. While this was a one-day only stay, I would definitely come back....

United StatesEverything was great!
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful very nice. The building itself is so charming, it's old but well kept up and very clean and you can't beat the location it's a 3 minute walk to El Zócalo maybe a 10 minute walk to El Palacio de Bellas Artes very in the middle of everything.

MexicoI stayed during a very hot day. My room was stuffy. No window to the outdoors. John Ross wrote a wonderful description 14 years ago wrote the following: "Those who take rooms at the Isabel are Costa Ricans on a Mexico City shopping spree and Tabasco farmers in town of Alcoholics Anonymous jamboree and a few Mennonites in overalls from Chihuahua who have come to the big city to sell cheese. During a political season -- i.e. a visit from the Zapatistas--North American radicals take up transient residencies.... pornographic videos are the only movies made here." Unfortunately, the action was not this colorful inside and the hotel was rather empty and quiet.
Wonderful location in a historic hotel. The bathroom was great. Very clean and private. Lobby and public areas upstairs were nice. The desk clerk during check out was able to explain and tell me how to catch a very inexpensive and quick bus to the Norte bus station for ETN, Primera Plus, etc. The price was unbeatable.

United StatesI like everything about Hotel Isabel. Things seem to improve with each and every stay I have there. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are always super clean and there's a doorman .I don't watch TV but I don't recall seeing one in my room. A great value. Everybody knows the wifi is a little wonky, but it can be worked around. My hotel in CDMX

CanadaWas there 7 nights and 3 nights were nightmarish from noise from nearby drinking hole...Also hotel advertise free promo walking tour conditionnal to the purchase of any tour...I bought 2 tours but was denied this promotion under the excuse that the free W Tour had to have been requested at time of booking the tours. I do not think it was very complicated if they had overlooked that restriction since they had record of my previous days tours...

CanadaI must learn more Spanish as the Menu in the Restaurants were a QR code Only so they had free Yi Fi and by the time you got to see the menu and communicate to the Waitress didn’t understand English so your Phone screen was covered in fingerprints ,
The location was in the Historic Centro of Mexico City. Easy to walk to many Historic Sights. There were many pedestrian Only streets with Restaurants & ice Cream stands. Would love to Return there again!
