Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOK not the best place I've stayed . . Having to leave your key at the reception felt a bit out dated but its key locks and it's their policy. Not the end of the world . Room service wasn't daily . I'm sure if you ask it will get sorted though . The staff are extremely friendly and speak English.
Location if you want central is perfect. Most day trips are pick up right outside the hotel . It's an old colonial style building. Lots of character. It could do with a makeover but for the price? You really can't complain Rooms are very echoing as they are really high ceilings . I could hear a lot of noise sometimes as there's a courtyard the rooms all surround . Not terrible though. But if you are a moaner and want utter silence look elsewhere. They have a little bar and they also have a restaurant. I did eat at the restaurant and I cant complain. Plenty of food and good prices too. It was also busy so that says a lot . Open to non residents too .

The location was exceptionally good. The hotel is located in the center of the historical district. Close to the three different metro stations and the bus stops. Many restaurants and shops are near by.

United StatesVery old school, fresh paint over old structure. Bath, beds, flooring, sinks etc., feel as though you are in and old 1950s hotel, this is good or bad depending on attitude.
Mexican feel, close to zocalo and around the corner from Ideal Bakery.

United StatesThe cold lighting could be replaced by warmer bulbs. The bed was very hard. No one speaks English even minimally. They would do well to replace the ugly furniture in my room with some older pieces—nothing fancy but not ugly. The attached restaurant was subpar. I’m usually very forgiving but this place really could use some love. Don’t expect help from the concierge.
The historic building with high ceilings was lovely even though it was not totally refurbished.

United StatesThis hotel is awful. The bathrooms suck, and they make you leave your key with the front desk every time you leave. No water is provided. In the middle of the night we heard banging on the door. Did not feel safe here.

JapanI booked a transfer from the airport, for which I paid 550 pesos. Unlike other drivers, my driver was not waiting for me in the arrival lobby holding a sign with my name. Instead, we were supposed to meet in front of Gate 3. When I got out at Gate 3, the driver was not waiting for me there either. As I did not have a Mexican SIM card, I had to go back to the airport building to use airport WIFI so we could get in touch. Getting hold of him involved several missed phone calls and 20 minutes of waiting time. At the official taxi stand, I asked about the price to the city, and they told me it was 380 pesos. Normally, booking transport via a hotel means convenience, but this was just a rip-off. I complained to the hotel staff about the transfer, but I did not even get an apology, not to speak of a partial refund. My room was also very noisy at night due to the music from some local club. The hotel has a good location, but if I were to go back to Mexico City, I would probably look for alternative accommodation.
The location is good.

CanadaIt's very big room, but the sink is in one corner INSIDE the room while the shower is in a closet on other end corner. No warm water in the sink. Shower head doesn't produce adequate water and no barrier between shower and toilet, all wet. Even no electric wall-plug in the washroom. No desk lights, only one ceiling light in centre. Light switches and wall plugs placed awkwardly, I charge phone while it lays on floor. And the hotel price is more than twice of budget hotels.

United StatesThe bed felt really, really hard. I woke up with back pain and had trouble sleeping the 3 nights I was there. I went for breakfast at the hotel to try it out and felt the quality and quantity/price wasn't worth it.
The location was great! A couple of blocks from the zocalo and it felt pretty safe. I came back after dark and it was fine. The staff allowed me to check in early and gave me a quiet room.

United StatesThis would have been a 10 has it not been for the awful experience I had with an employee when leaving the hotel early in the morning. When I checked in I made sure to ask what I should do with my key because I would be checking out early the next day for a flight. The man told me to leave it in the room, which I did. When I came down to order my Uber to the airport, the man asked me where the key was and I told him it was in the room. Then, I ordered my Uber and asked him to open the door (it was closed as it was 4AM). he asked me again where the key was, and I told him that it was in the room. He then told me that I had to give him the key!! I didn't have time and anyway the door to the room was closed. I told him that his coworker told me to leave it in the room when I left. He then called me a liar and tried to stop me from leaving the hotel!!! Then, as I pushed my way past him to open the door, he called me crazy and told me "maybe someone will ....you" ! His behavior was threatening, insulting, and completely unacceptable. This kind of machismo behavior is what women in Mexico are fighting against. He then proceeded to come out and say something to my Uber driver! I have lived in Oaxaca for 4 years and traveled in Mexico and have never experienced this kind of behavior, but I can tell you that it was scary and left me feeling very upset. This kind of behavior is UNACCEPTABLE in a place of business let alone anywhere else and the man should be held accountable for his actions.
