Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdom- probably looked like the pictures when it was first built, it is very tired and is more like private rooms in a hostel - location to the beach is far away about an hour walk and costs £17.50 to get a taxi so be prepared for this
- location to the town is only 10/15 min walk away - really comfy beds

United KingdomThere was a water garden in the courtyard which looked lovely but seemed to be a haven for mosquitos as we got bitten so much staying here. The breakfast was good but often ran out of certain items so could’ve been better.
The staff were friendly and helpful booking tours and giving recommendations for different things to do in tulum. The bed was comfy and shower was good. The hotel had a nice vibe and although we didn’t use it the pool looked great.

AustraliaThe railings on the rooftop area need some attention.
The pool was so beautiful. The room was very large, nicely decorated and appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big with very nice toiletries. The staff were very helpful. The garden area and entry were lovely places to sit. It was near some great restaurants and cafes. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Naala Tulum.

Sweden- The rooms walls and floors could have been nicer, it looks a bit too industrial with the chipped paint on concrete since so many other aspects of the hotel are much more elegant. Having a door for the shower would have been practical so water doesn't splash onto the bathroom floor. - Food and drinks were definitely expensive, which is expected since it's a hotel restaurant, but it's a bit too much. Breakfast is decent, but not worth the price of 300 pesos. - By foot it does take quite a bit of time to get to places, I definitely recommend bikes if you want to explore the town and not pay for taxis.
- Spacious room. - Amazing pool area. - Very nice tropical garden on the bottom floor (don't forget bug spray!) - Very good drinks at the restaurant bar, and I was honestly surprised by the quality of the dinner I had the first night. The grilled fish dish was very tasty. - You can lend bikes directly at the hotel, sure it might be a bit more expensive than other services but it's very practical to just park it outside the reception. I thought the bikes worked well and were in pretty good shape.

BrazilThe breakfast starts at 8am, my tours start earlier so you need to request to have it to go. (Could start at least at 7am) The variety was poor, you don’t have access of cheese, ham, bread, coffee and you need to order everything besides cereals and fruit. So take a while to get it. Many things is not included in the breakfast like a espresso or even a sandwich of ham and cheese, I need to convince the waiter to take the ham and cheese from the omelette section and a bread from their basket and make a sandwich. The drinks in the pool area it’s over priced, no clue is always empty and nobody drinking. (Have an amazing opportunity to make more money there, setting up a regular price to charge for it)
The employees in general was really kind every time I needed. Its really clean! The internet was extremely good! Easy to rent bikes inside the hotel Beautiful view at the rooftop

United KingdomIt was a little further out especially if you don't have a car. We ended up cycling which was booked through the hotel but getting to the centre was always a half hour walk which is a bit long.
We really loved the swimming pool on the roof and the views were amazing 🤩 the hotel room was also very comfortable and the hotel staff were very helpful with us booking bikes, and giving recommendations for the day.

United KingdomBalcony is a little bit small but still done the job. I would say the location is great in terms of being in the middle of downtown Tulum and the beach but I would recommend hiring bikes to get around because taxis can be expensive.
We loved our stay at Na’alá! We were here just this past week and it definitely was everything we’d hoped for. I’m terms of value, you can’t beat it for the price we paid. Rooms were big, with an ok sized balcony, cute little soft seating area, huge beds and everything was super clean. All the staff were really lovely at reception, at the restaurant and the maids. Everyone was fab! I felt really safe here and was definitely the relaxation we needed.

NetherlandsBreakfast is in the terrace with no AC, even when it opens at 8AM (very late) you could see the waiters sweating like they've been running for an hour and you would be sweating too. Service is slow for the orders and the small buffet of fruits and pancakes is not frequently restocked. Also the fruits are not covered and in the heat, susceptible to bugs of all kinds. The entrance of the hotel is behind some trees, despite having a sign of the hotel, it's hard to find it at night. At the time of our stay there were a ton of constructions in the surrounding streets, making the access to the hotel less pleasant. If you are driving, don't take the side streets as they are tiny, dark and full of potholes. You will feel like you will be kidnapped at any point. We were stopped by an army barricade that was set up right next to the hotel which makes you wonder about the safety of the surroundings.
Very comfortable rooms and good vibes in the hotel reception and terrace. Good value for the money

Switzerland- The plastering of the pool was flaking off at several places. Potentially needs renovation soon. - Some towels had (minor) stains - Rooftop café closing at 18:00 already. Possibly due to visiting during low season, but still would have been nice to enjoy a drink after 18:00 at the pool. - Strange system with voucher cards for pool towels. You have to give the Café staff a towel card in order to get a towel, but if you leave after 18:00 you won't get the card back ... also then you're able to just take the towels laying there without the card. - Apart from the very nice omelettes the breakfast buffet was rather small and sometimes lacked glasses and plates for juices/fruit.
- Lovely rooftop area with different places to chill and two pools. I especially liked the net thingy to lie in and the bigger pool with the waterfalls. - The breakfast omelettes were really tasty! - Friendly and attentive staff both at the café and at the reception, always there to help out or give tips on what to do. - Comfy beds with good blankets. - Shower: good water pressure, good temperature control.

Australia- They mistakenly tried to charge us for a drink that we didn’t consume. Good reminder to always ask for itemised bill at end of your stay - The shower would not really get cold - Toilet didn’t flush a couple of times, all water went out for a couple of hours or so (though this doesn’t seem like a regular occurrence)
+ The pool area is elite! Ultimate relaxation spot, exactly how it looks in photos! So much space + Air conditioning + Can rent bikes + Gym and supermarket close by + Balcony + So clean
