Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We enjoyed our stay at Cityden. We liked how close it was to the Metro station. The room was very clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It was nice to have a rooftop restaurant on the property as well, laundry facilities. The bed was very comfortable however-we found it somewhat difficult to get into due to it being enclosed in a cube. It would also be great to have a shower curtain so to keep the water contained. Small issues that would not keep us from returning or recommending this place to stay.

The hotel is about 15 minutes away from city center, with a tram station 5min away from hotel, with a line that goes directly to the city. Room was clean and comfy with all facilities you need even for longer stay. You need to pay 150€ deposit while checking in, which will be refunded after the end of your stay. Other than that, we want to send special greetings to all staff especially to all ladies at reception, you are the best, thank you so much for all help and assistance!! ❤️

It was a little bit cold, especially the bathroom where is no heating. The pictures are a little bit misleading, I thought there is a wall between the bed and the sofa, but they are in the same room.
Amazing location, very easy and fast to reach the city centre. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room is very qute, you have everything you need: fridge, microwave, plates etc. Big storage space for your luggage, clean and big bathroom. The view from the window was very nice too.

The price is a bit too high.
Nice location. 7-8 minutes by tram from Amsterdam Zuid. And then 3 minutes to walk. Quiet quarter. Comfortable beds. Kitchen corner is equiped with everyting needed.

The area is very peripheral and there is a lack of services such as supermarkets nearby.
The hotel is nice, clean and modern. It is also very well connected by tram to Museumplein and from there to Amsterdam-Centrum. Other highlights include the beautiful terrace and the free gym open H24, which is small but fairly well equipped.

I didn’t like that there is no information that you should pay €150 for any damage you cause to the property. They did not appear in my reservation details. Also the city tax on booking.com appears that it was deducted, but they also charge it so you must be very careful
I liked it, the soundproofing, cleanliness, very equipped with the kitchen all the essentials, the very complete bathroom, mirror with light for the ladies who like to put on makeup, very warm also air conditioning.

Laundry room and operating it can be tricky. And limited washer and dryer. Nearest Supermarket is far to walk, 2 tram stations away.
Affordable compared to living in the city. Great location, close to Tram station nearby and accessible to city in half hour. Love the neighbourhood and a good shopping mall nearby Amstelveen at the last tram station. Calm, quiet and safe residential neighbourhood. Great ambience restaurant and rooftop cafe

The decor of the hotel was beautiful, everything felt fresh and modern. Would stay again. The staff were always welcoming and very friendly. The location is great, it is in quite area very close to Tram station which makes it easy to go anywhere.

Sauna room might need a lock or lockers just for security feeling of belonging when inside. Not, not safe though. Just a thought.

The drain of the sink had a slight smell. Other places were fine, it was just one spot.
The studio has comfortable furniture, a nice TV, kitchen, all of which are in good condition. It is a quiet location away from the city center, nice to relax. Although it is a bit of a distance from the city center, the tram station is super close, and trams come often going to many places in the city, so it is a good location.

The double bed was two single mattress’s pushed together. Did keep falling between the two.
Room was amazing, had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Kitchen area was very well stocked, seating area was comfortable with a very nice rotating TV to show either the bed or the sofa. Would high recommend for people visiting Amsterdam. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, easy to talk to and always available either in person, via phone or the WhatsApp chat.
