Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

There is a bar on the first floor, so it's extremely loud at night
Amazing kitchen, with everything, there's even an oven! They serve tea and coffee every morning.

The neighbourhood is very noisy so struggled to sleep till after midnight. No toiletries in the bathroom.

The only downside may be that you can only access the floors by stairs. For me it wasn’t a problem but it could be for other people.
The staff was so lovely! You could ask them anything and they were always able to help you. The 24/7 reception is also nice and made me feel safe! The room itself was stunning! I booked the „luxury room“ for girls only and it was so worth it. The size of the beds was insane and it was so clean. I would definitely recommend staying here (also for people who never stayed in a hostel ever)!

it was quite noisy at night from the outside because it is situated on a lively street, during daytime there was construction in the house, also we had to shower with cold water

Most staff were kind and helpful but a handful were not. It’s the nature of life, though. An elevator to the top floor would be advantageous - it’s a LOT of stairs to climb with luggage.
The location, quality, and standard of this hostel are very high. Set in a trendy part of the city, key attractions and activities are only a short walk away. I like the design, the front a cafe with a guest kitchen downstairs and living quarters upstairs. It’s great value for money.

Very clean place in city center, great stuff, nice and comfortable beds + very comfortable shower. You have a hairdryer and also they give to you earplugs if it’ll be noisy in place. During our stay it was quite and nice. I’ll recommend this place to stay for every type of tourist.

The rooms and beds themselves were not great. The bed wasn't very comfortable and there was no curtains on the bed, which made everything very exposed.
The location was great, it was a very lively neighborhood (15 min walk from the central train station) with lots of good food places and places to go out nearby. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful and the common area as well as kitchen was really nice.

Quite small rooms with not a great shower in the 6-bed room. However all other facilities were great!
Great location, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The communal facilities were excellent. A great vibe as you walk in.

If you could please install a door in the bathroom it’ll be convenient otherwise it gets too wet for the other users especially the toilet seat.

The hostel is on top of a nightclub. They give you free ear plugs when you check in but you can hear the music through the ear plugs.
Unbeatable location on the best nightlife/bar street (central to everything else and 15 mins from the station. Towels and linen provided. Good wifi. Fan in room. Free luggage storage. Friendly staff. Commercial kitchen. They give you a banana when you check in which is cute. Under bed lockers. Ensuite toilet and shower in same room and seperate toilet on each floor.

Great neighbourhood - many bars and clubs near the hostel. Nice and friendly staff. Great plus for access to shared kitchen. Free tea and coffee in the morning. Cool bar and shared places. Pretty big bathroom inside the room.

very loud at night even if not directly on the street side - not for light sleepers! I’m not that tall and my locker was a top one with the door swinging out the wrong way so I couldn’t access it from my top bunk. had to awkwardly reach across from the ladder and hope I didn’t fall. also couldn’t reach the back part of the locker because of this. not very accessible, door hinge should be on opposite side! bad design. the other facilities were great though
great location, comfortable bed and felt private despite it being a hostel but also had the option to socialise as desired. always lots happening in the evenings attached to hostel or on the street

The lockers under the bed took up much floor space in order to open.
Location central though at weekends can be noisy outside. Ear plugs are provided.
