No locker in the room. Did not feel safe with my belongings because there was one guest who was in the room all the time sleeping just an hour after my early check in at 1pm until I checked out at exactly 11am in the morning next day

There was a permanent and very annoying whistling, maybe the hostel should find where it comes from. If you are looking for a quiet place maybe you should be aware that the street and the bar down the hostel are quite noisy. Also there is just one bathroom with sink and toilet for the whole room

That it's a bit noisy due to the bar downstairs, but you should bring your earplugs for that.

You could tell that the hotel has been newly renovated. The rooms were very clean, even the shared shower/toilet was very clean. It was very centrally located. I walked there from the central railway station by myself. After check-out you could even leave your suitcase there for free until your departure time.

I do not recommend this hostel, I was bitten by some insects, the bites took a long time to go away. Also, my roommate complained that he was bitten by insects. Immediately after leaving, I informed the managers, they replied that they checked the room and did not find anything. In addition, the room for 8 beds is very small, perhaps the number of beds should be reduced.

I liked the location and the cost of the bed. In principle, it's not a bad hostel, it just needs to be disinfected more often, maybe the humidity is high, so insects have appeared

I stayed for 1 night at King Kong hostel - I woke up a few hours into my sleep to a burning sensation all over my torso and my arms. I woke up to find bedbugs in my bed... I went to reception at 5am and they switched me to another room and gave me new sheets - the next day they gave me a refund. I appreciated the staff's response to this (they were nice and didn't question the refund), so I almost decided not to leave a bad review. However, then my friend sent me a post from Reddit, where another person had stayed at King Kong hostel in a similar timeframe as I did, and they also found bedbugs. They noted that several reviews at King Kong had noted this experience. This makes me realise it wasn't just a small oversight, but that the hostel is very aware of the issue with bedbugs and is not doing enough to stop their visitors from experiencing this horrible experience. It was quite traumatising, as I also realised some bedbugs came home with my belongings and I had to throw away valuable items and spend a lot of money on dry cleaning to ensure they didn't infest my home. A reimbursement is the lowest effort King Kong hostel should have made - the fact that several travellers are experiencing this is a massive red flag, so I wouldn't suggest staying here...

The only thing I want to say is that one should keep in mind that the prices per day can strongly vary. In almost all of the accommodations in this country it works like this.

The bunks are not comfortable and very limited in space. There are no personal lockers.

The initial environment is great with a great atmosphere from the cafe/bar. The kitchen amenities are very great.

We reserved one month before one double room with private bathroom; when arrived at King Kong Hostel the girl from Reception gave us a "Lovers Loft ", meaning one double bed situated on a high platform in a 10+beds, and asked to pay the same price -85 euros/night- the same as for the double private room previously reserved by us; when I asked for my reserved room , she told me that room now has almost a double price, and the price of 85 euros/night was a "mistake". We could not imagine how does this hotel lend itself to such a thing; in the end we asked for the money back and booked of a much higher quality double room at another hotel for 92 euros/night.

Location was excellent for restaurants and bars. We had a private room and bathroom. It had a fridge and electric kettle for tea. Bed was firm but comfy. Small room but still nice.

A) Location was horrible! In a hustle and bustle area! Too noisy that I couldn't sleep. The hostle is a bar too, so you can imagine till 4 a.m. it was REALLY bustling. B) The RUDE receptionist insisted on giving me an eight-bed dorm, although I had booked for a six-bed room. C) The shower didn't have a chamber to keep the water away, so after taking shower, there was a pool in bathroom and it got flooded. D) The beds were uncomfy and creaky E) The price was €113, but I was charged extra for NO reason. So it wasn't a good value at all. F) The room size was too cramped for 6 beds!

To be honest, I have regrets to stay there! Not recommended at all

It wasn't even hot outside during the night but the window could only open a little bit so the room couldn't cool down and stayed super hot. There was only one fan for six beds, it was very noisy and didn't have much impact for me since I was on the top bunk bed. The bathroom also felt hot and like it couldn't air. The heat negatively impacted my stay, cause other than that everything was okay.
