Location was fantastic.. in a quiet street but very close to the museums . All food and drink is complementary during your stay here. Excellent value . Comfortable, clean and friendly staff too.

However, I was not fully satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, which could have been better maintained. The staff didn’t seem like they really worked there; it felt as if they were just stopping by rather than being attentive or involved. I understand this is a different concept of hotel but I was not familiar with it so it felt a bit off.

The hotel’s location was excellent — very central and close to everything I needed, including public transport, shops, museums and restaurants. The room was chic and offering a comfortable stay.

A good size bedroom and nicely furnished -the only problem was the low lighting - and with art nouveau style tassels over the bedside lights, reading in bed was difficult and there was no decent room light for general use. This is a common problem with hotels in my experience.

The hotel has a nice feel to it, more a club than a hotel, especially with the various eats and drinks available in the ground floor reception rooms - as well as these being included in the price. And it is only a few minutes' walk to the main museums.

We stayed in a “Small” room, and unfortunately, there were several issues: 1. The room really needs some renovation; the walls were scratched and worn. 2. There was an unpleasant sewage smell in the room whenever the bathroom door was open, so we had to air it out frequently. 3. The room wasn’t very warm, and we couldn’t find a way to adjust the temperature to make it more comfortable. 4. The lighting in the room was poor, and it felt cramped. Since Amsterdam isn’t a very bright city in winter, the lack of natural light in the room didn’t help. 5. The breakfast was very limited in variety and felt repetitive (boiled eggs, toasts, avocado, smoked salmon, yogurt, berries, smoothies, cheese) Overall, we visited during the New Year holidays, so maybe that affected the price, but it felt like the quality didn’t match the cost. For the price, we expected a higher standard. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the home-like atmosphere, amazing staff, and unique concept of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is fantastic—right next to Museum Square. The hotel itself is stylish and beautiful, with a unique “home-like” concept. This means all drinks are complimentary, and there are always snacks available throughout the day (salty treats, cookies, etc.), which is such a nice touch and creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which we really appreciated.

The entire hotel is such a fun, interesting space. Front desk staff was so friendly and helpful describing the hotels amenities. We loved the sitting room off of the entry area. Our room was lovely and cozy with a nice view and our bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We never heard any exterior or neighboring room noises. Breakfast was outstanding. Fresh baked pastries, beautiful charcuterie board, selection of fresh jams and spreads, fresh fruit, anything and everything you could want to drink. We had to leave for the airport before breakfast the next morning and the front desk surprised us with breakfasts to go ❤️
