The bathroom and shower are not very clean. Only one shower in the 3 floors was working. It was really disgusting to take shower. The sink in the room was broken.

It is very close to the center and it is cheaper than other hostels and airbnb in Amsterdam.

I would like to express my total dissatisfaction with the experience I recently had at Hostel Princess Amsterdam. Since arrival, the stay was extremely disappointing and did not correspond at all to the expectations created by the photos and online descriptions. Right at the entrance, the hostel looked terrible, very different from what was advertised. The staff showed a total lack of preparation and could not help us in any situation where we need assistance. In addition, there was no water available - much less hot water - which made the stay even more unpleasant. The structure of the hostel also left a lot to be desired. The supposed shared "kitchen" is nothing more than a small space in the reception, without minimum conditions to be used properly. The shared bathroom, instead of serving a reasonable number of guests, was divided with the entire floor, which had at least six rooms, each with several beds. This made the use of the facilities extremely uncomfortable and impractical. Another serious problem was the lack of security. The lockers to store belongings didn't work and, to make matters worse, on the first night, someone entered our room because the reception handed over the wrong access cards. This generated a feeling of enormous insecurity. In addition, we ran out of power in the room, with all the sockets not working, making it impossible to charge essential devices. We reported the problem to the reception, but there was no solution. The hygiene conditions were equally unacceptable. The environment had a very unpleasant smell and it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority on site. We don't recommend this hostel!!!

There was a shortage of soap and toilet paper in the toilets, more care could have been taken in terms of hygiene in the rooms.

I had a few problems with the room but they helped me out. The reception was good. The location is very good, the view from the attic rooms is very nice.

The room looked like a war zone .The walls were full of visible screw holes , the paint was incomplete . Visible wires, broken heater , broken doors , stinky carpet,pile of rubbish on rooftop next to window,flooded and broken shower for multiple rooms. We also found bedbugs under the bedsheets.

There were bedbugs on the room, my friends and I end up with hives all over our bodies, the staff gets angry to receive you, there is no hot water and the light of the room is horrible.

The shower room has a very odd shower spray way high up so it was not adjustable for shorter people. There was NO HOT WATER in the shower in freezing weather in November. There could have been a little stool in the room to sit on and a little shelf just above the sink in the room to put things on. There was no kitchen per se and it was very dirty. I blame the owner of the hostel for the inconveniences. The owner/owners need to have more "respect" for their guests.

I liked the one bunk bed for 2 girls and the room was quiet for it was at the back of the hostel.

The toilet was somewhat clean, housing staff was counting on guests to keep the area clean and tidy, which did not really happen. Toilet 5/10

The location is great, 15 minutes walk from most of the city's popular museums and attractions.

There was no curtain, the window doesn't close properly, the power outlets only work if you switch the light on, the water from the tap in the room flows extremely slowly, the wifi doesnt work.

Plugs in room are a health hazard, rooms are small, bed bugs everywhere, I suppose what you pay is what you get.

Staff were brilliant and that's about all that was good with the place.

It wasnt good experience at all. It wasnt enough clean, there was something like bed bugs in my bed, and sometimes there was no hot water in the bathrooms.

It was really close to the city center. The location is good, and you can walk 20 minutes to many central places.

My bedroom window had no curtain and was right next to the tram. I didn't sleep well. There is no area to eat and no luggage storage. I had to eat on the stairs.

There is a kitchen, however is small and doesn't have many things availables to cook.
