Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHard to say. Is nothing a valid answer?
My partner and I previously stayed three years back Christmas time and I’m proud to say it was amazing as the first time during our summer Pride 2022 visit. I’m not one to big up within reviews but it can’t be helped and Sir Adam deserves all the reviews! Once again, the hotel was beautiful - the staff are beautiful and the the Dutch people are truly beautiful. I appreciate when I’m made to feel comfortable and accepted, and I definitely received that and more! Thank you also for upgrading our room with an amazing view for my partners birthday. It made him really happy! I will definitely return next year for Pride 2023 and with a few more of my friends/family! Thank you to all the staff. You once again made our visit extra special!

United StatesThere was a power outage one of the nights which caused the elevators to not work the next morning. I understand that things like this happen though. They were very prompt about getting the problem fixed and when I came back that evening everything was working smoothly again.
This hotel has a very fun atmosphere. I loved the themed elevators and rooms. The view from my room was spectacular and the bed was very comfortable. Having a shuttle from the airport was very helpful after a long flight.

United Arab EmiratesHad been eyeing this hotel for sometime for our family's European vacation. Initially had shortlisted (and booked) another hotel which looks excellent too but was away from the city a bit. Sir Adam was a bit out of our budget- as we wanted to 2 rooms for 3 nights. But thankfully the rates dropped and I was able to snag a booking at very good rates on Booking.com Check-in A bit delayed. There were not enough folks at the reception which made us wait- but eventually things were fine. The lady who checked us in was very polite and helpful. Rooms We were in the Sir Boutique. 2 rooms next to each other. View of the back of the building- overlooking the canal and a college. Room was just right sized- could have been larger. Beds and the pillows were very comfortable (they sell the pillows at least I think). The record player in the room is a nice touch- one could call it gimmicky (as some reviewers have mentioned)- but we enjoyed it. We listened to some nice music and also picked up a record from the "bank" next to the reception. Plug points were enough- though I have to say the number of books on the night stand next to the bed is way too many - one needs that space for the phones, watches etc to charge. Location I can't say perfect, but very near that. You are in the city center and then not. One takes a ferry to the other side to the Centraal Station- which yes does add a few minutes to your journey every time, but then even the ferry is an experience. And it keeps you away from the madness of the Dam etc while still keeping you near. One tip- on the way back make sure to check which ferry you board- we ended up at NDSM Wharf once - which was another experience: at that time we were hassled (it was hot) but when we look back at it- it was funny Food The restaurant downstairs The Butcher Social is very good. Had some good burgers there (Ugly Chicken, Veggie Delight). Breakfast is also very good.

United StatesWe had an issue with our shower in the bathroom, it flooded. The drain probably needed to be unclogged, but that was the only issue.
Great location, great staff, and great environment. Would love to participate in a loyalty program to enjoy discount for future visits. We visited from San Francisco, CA.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaBreakfast is good, you can order from the menu but for 23,5 € is little bit overpriced. I was missing slippers in room. Concrete floor everywhere.
Rooms are sparkly clean and quit. Good facilities. Many pillows to choose from. Room service was good. Location is very nice, just take the free of charge ferry that operates 24/7 to the central station. Recommendable stay for work/fun. Not so much for families . Stuff is very helpful and friendly. It is for sure a hotel that you will remember after you leave as the elevators are funny and the whole concept is different to the other vanilla hotels.

SwitzerlandThe rain showers a nice feature, but unfortunately the water pression is not high enough so that it's rather a drip than a shower. But the standard shower heads are working as they should.
The location of the hotel is perfect - only a 2 minute ferry ride and you're at Central Station of Amsterdam. From there you have plenty train, bus, tram and subway options to reach every corner of Amsterdam. From the airport it's only a train ride of about 15 minutes, so no need to carry the luggage through the whole city, which can be quite uncomfortably as public transport can get very crowded. Besides that, the hotel staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms come a fairly big size compared to the price and are all nicely designed and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The big windows offer a great view and a lot of light. If you book a city view room, you have very nice views on the Ij, central station and part of the city. The restaurant on the ground floor not only has tasty burgers but also a good breakfast selection.

United StatesNothing really, the hotel obviously handles a lot of people so it could have been slightly cleaner but given the environment it’s to be expected.
Didn’t have breakfast but they had tons of snacks and things in the room which I didn’t need but couldn’t help myself after walking the streets of Amsterdam felt like a high school kid in heaven. Also they contacted me about something I left in my room intentionally but never had a hotel contact me regarding lost or left behind property.

United KingdomThought that room was compact, would not have liked it any smaller and would have liked slight opening of windows, even though we were high up. I personally do not like small rooms with air con and no opening windows.
Thought that room was nicely appointed and clean. Cleanliness is VERY important for me, so was pleased with that. Pleased that they tried to make it as eco friendly as possible.
