Neighbourhood dogs can be noisy.

Excellent value for money. Helpful staff. Strong hot water shower. IF this Guesthouse weren’t owned by the Nunnery next door and staying here helps fund them, I would gate-keep this info to ensure easy room availability in the future!

I loved that the monastery is next door, it is beautiful and you are welcome to the pujas. The breakfast is really good. The location is great for the boudha area

It was a little further from Boudha stupa than we thought when we booking - this obviously our mistake and while we didn’t mind the walk, the narrow street up to the guest house could be a bit dark

Friendly staff, good breakfast, relatively quiet for Boudha. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with great beds and warm duvets. Shower always had hot water.

The young nuns are very inspiring to be around. They practice meditation and chants next door. They are friendly and welcome you to attend their practice sessions.h

Amazing place, so close from Bouddha Stupa, in a very safe sector. Very nice staff. The receptionist is so nice, helpful and efficient. Very clean place.

Every morning waking up to the sound of the Buddhist rituals, followed by the beautiful sight of the students singing before starting the day. That was the highlight of my stay. That, in addition to the well cleaned environment, excellent and diverse buffet breakfast every morning and extremely nice and helpful staff.

Nothing, we had a wonderful stay.

Dondrub is a quiet escape. The rooms are basic but quality and the breakfast is delicious. The communal breakfast also gives you the ability to meet other travelers in the morning.

The house was noisy in the morning (I do not mean the nun's prayers which did not disturb me at all, but people talking very loudly in the corridor and in the courtyard). The breakfast was quite basic (but okay).

The guesthouse is well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful, the reception is always open during the day. The rooms are simple as it is usual in such guesthouses, but there is everything you really need. During my stay, there was always enough warm water for a shower.

Stayed here before. The location is perfect. Everything about Dondrub is great. Comfy beds & great breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here.

If you're ever in Kathmandu then this is the place to stay. The hospitality is amazing, everyone is SO friendly and supportive. I got the chance to join the nuns for their morning puja and the experience was magical. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, the water is very warm and the space is very pleasant. The breakfast is delicious and is different every day. I also bought a few things from their little shop at reception to bring back home for my loved ones. I also needed a taxi to the airport and they booked an advance one for me which was really helpful. I wish I had more time to stay here! Wonderful experience and brilliant location

It was a bit close to the road. The room was a bit smaller than I expected, the lighting I felt like could have been better in the rooms, but I think lighting is everything, and they were doing construction during the day, but what are you going to do right
