Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe stayed for 5 nights before our trek and 2 nights after (some nights booked independently and some through World expeditions) We had 4 different rooms (including one at the hotel next door as staff issues closed the hotel briefly). The quality of the rooms differs - the upper levels of the old wing being the best, the "new building" next best, and level 4 of old building were in need of a refurb. Staff were always great and friendly.
Buffet Breakfast was great - good options/variety, even coffee was good. The best part was Manita - the omelet lady! She was always friendly and keen to know what we were doing as well as making great omelets.

NepalOf the three advertised restaurants, one handled the breakfast buffet only, The one fine dining restaurant was open for dinner, but the layout of the hotel was awkward. The original hotel is now literally across the street from the other 3 buildings. Not a busy street, but a street, nevertheless. Both the main restaurant and the spa are on the other side of the street from the original building where the breakfast buffet and reception are located. The entire third floor is closed for remodeling, which is unfortunate, because that is where the lunch grill with some outside tables were located and burgers and sandwiches, etc.we’re available! They recommended room service. The cuisine, unfortunately, for me, was over 90% Indian, which was a huge disappointment for me since I can’t eat hot spicy food. Two other things which were difficult for me was the fact that the mattress was considerably old, and the toilet very small and very low. For an old lady, it was almost impossible to get up from. No washcloths were provided but everything else that you might need, was there.
The staff was amazing‼️. The room furnishings were classic, beautifully made and finished. Lovely real dark wood. The breakfast buffet was a bit unusual, but delicious. The quality of the cooking indicated a well trained chef with many years of experience. I’m elderly and mobility challenged and the reception staff upgraded my room to furnish my requirements. Lovely experience all around with the staff‼️ Room service was quick and nicely done, with everything you might need, on the tray.

RussiaThey have an annoying practice of knocking and literally breaking into the room after cleaning service is done to ask if the cleaning is done well. I do not understand the point of this.
It’s overall a good hotel with great food

IndiaThere should be an exhaust arrangement in the toilets, as even in a fresh room, the toilet was smelling of stagnated air.

United StatesPlease provide an option for drinking water that does not involve plastic usage. Everything else was excellent!
I stayed at the Radisson because someone recommended it, and I wanted to be in the Lazimpat area near Thamel for a few days. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Thamel, and situated on a quiet street off Lazimpat. The street itself has every thing you might need: restaurants, shops, travel agent, cafe, etc. A very nice Japanese restaurant and an excellent pastry shop are right on/adjacent to the premises. The hotel is well maintained and we had a room on the 7th floor, which was quiet. The room comes equipped with a water kettle. There is a small minibar/fridge and we appreciated the bottled water provided, but also think that the amount of plastic that is generated from the bottles is probably avoidable (by providing an RO or such facility on each floor, or just providing two larger bottles instead of several small ones ...there has to be a way to reduce plastic usage!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Wifi worked smoothly overall, except for a national wide outtage on the first evening (that cannot be helped), although it was a tad slow at times. Kudos to the staff. They were excellent and really lovely people. Housekeeping was efficient and made up the room when we were away in the mornings. The restaurant staff served breakfast with a smile and remembered small requests made the first day on the subsequent days! Breakfast was sumptuous! The hotel has a swimming pool (outdoor) and a very well-equipped gym. But the gym looks to be open to members who are not hotel guests as well, and as a result, tends to get a little crowded in the mornings. It was a little difficult to find the space to use the workout bench! No issues with cardio equipment though (there are three treadmills). There is both a sauna and a steam room, which are clean and excellent. There is a jacuzzi, but despite notices posted prominently, people were getting into these without wearing appropriate swimwear. In all, an excellent stay close to the heart of Kathmandu.

IndiaOur Indian Credit or debit cards do not work there?? Inspite of having International payments on all my cards activated, I believe Indian Bank cards are not valid for payment in Nepal & Bhutan. There has to be some alternative method, other than cash?
The staff was excellent very well trained, extremely courteous and efficient. The food was to my liking and full marks to the Chef for the same.
