Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNoisy - not sound proofed for Queen St wildness Saturday night. Several plugs broke down. Ended up using kettle in bedside. One particular staff member at reception extremely unhelpful and despite flagging that we needed separate beds did nothing about it all weekend. Split the bed myself and moved furniture, used the top sheet folded in half and the mattress protector as my duvet Saturday night. Had to get after hours staff to rescue us for Sunday night which they very kindly did. Not up to the standard of other Quest hotels I've used elsewhere in Auckland or other cities. Very disappointing. Will not use again.

New ZealandThe location is super noisy. Could hear music from cars down on the street throughout the night. Party in room next door and doors slamming all night. Staff opened and moved my headphones not placing back in case. Balcony door didn't lock.

New ZealandRooms really run down, shower is super small, the shower head is super low and because you have to bend down to get under the shower ya butt hits the door open. Small fridge. Small rooms.
Duty Manager was lovely to deal with. Very professional and easily alters her manor to adapt to who she is dealing with at the time. Honestly - She is the best part about dealing with Quest.

AustraliaThe hotel is a little outdated, especially corridors, but rooms themselves are OK.
Location was in close proximity to the city. The studio room was quite spacious and was well equipped. We especially liked the filtered coffee supplied. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

New ZealandThe apartment was very tired and dusty. The dishes and kitchenware felt grimy and needed washing before using. Some of the drapes in the room were frayed and torn and the shower fittings broken. We found soaking wet, old towels under the bathroom sink - we believe used to mop up a water leak and left behind. The small aircon unit extends only to the living area meaning the bedrooms are warm and uncomfortable at night as the location of the apartment means having the windows open makes sleeping difficult. We booked parking in advance but arrived to find they had given our space to another guest meaning our car had to parked at the door overnight. A sign on reception indicated the hospital participated in the airports scheme but the staff on reception would not allow my husband to scan his airports card or offered any explanation as to why not.
The apartment was ideally located for the purpose of our visit - a show at the Aotea Centre. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment spacious.

New ZealandA room is meant to be ready for check-in at 2pm! We Arrived at 3pm and the room was not ready "not cleaned". The room was not ready until 4pm which made us late for our plans! We still had to pay FULL PRICE which is unacceptable! 2 free drinks didn't make up for this.... Went to have a shower... not clean and full of someone else's hair. Wouldn't recommend and certainly wouldn't stay again!

CanadaVery unfortunate that the city decided to start road repair outside our window all during the night. We hardly slept then put in ear plugs. They helped. I am sure all your guests had the same problem. I am wondering if you were notiffied ahead of our stay so that we might have found other options? Some things are just not in your control. Sorry to hear about the torrential rain the next day. We just beat it. Hope your property and staff survived it. Can;t believe the pictures of your city after the rain storm. Best wishes to all who endured.
Ease of access and customer service was great. The oven was hard to get working as there were no instructrions however I owned similar model and finally remembered how to get it going... I recommend an instruction sheet for the appliances. The oven had not been cleaned to my wifes satisfaction, but not terrible. The room was comfortable and did the job. Shower was great, good pressure and cleaning service was on top of things. I didn't know cleaing was daily which was a bonus for a us. Very much like a hotel with benefits such as couch, chairs, table, appliances and cleaning service. Perfect for short term stay with the advantage of a washer and dryer. Price was very fair to the time that we stayed.

BrazilApartment at higher part of Queens Avenue, central location. Close to bus stop, easy to come and go to all Auckland attractions. Staff helpful. Litlle extras: toiletries, coffe, tea, all basic utensils to cook breakfast and simple meals, washing machine, stovetop. Anything else you need you just ask in the reception. Cleaning was not greatest. Nice view from room. Quiet during the night. Missed some hangers as there is little space to storage clothes. Room service/cleaning every 2 days.

New ZealandThis was a very noisy place to stay, with alot of street noise from outside. We've stayed in central Auckland many times, and this was the worst for noise. We could hear loud music from assuming a near by club/bar until 2am, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The air conditioner didn’t cool bedroom at all, and have very interrupted sleep due to waking up.hot and humid. The bed was too firm and hard to get comfortable in.
