Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I can’t pin down anything I didn’t like as everyone was super nice and helpful and the room was comfier than my own home!
I loved the cleanliness of the apartment. The beds are super comfy, you fall into a slumber when you go under the covers. It has a spacious room with a radio and TV. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!

The shampoo /conditioner bottles in the shower were empty. I kept forgetting to tell the staff, but I'm sure if I had it would have been refilled immediately.
We didn't have the breakfast, the location was great, we walked to the show we went to see, and actually walked all around Auckland central. Loved having a little kitchenette so I could actually do some basic cooking so didn't have to buy all our meals.

I swipped my side mirror on large pole. Poor lighting and may need reflectors on large concrete poles

Smelled a bit stuffy on first arriving, perhaps the carpets need a clean? But just a small thing as overall it was very pleasant accommodation
Comfy bed and pillows. Well appointed with kitchen facilities and washing machine. Good shower. Quiet overnight overlooking the park. Well placed to the Aotea centre. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Very hard to find car park. We got $150 fine because we were driving on the bus lane just driving on it. Car park unearth the building also quite small. I don’t think want to come to Auckland city anymore. But I like the hotel. We have been to a few of them in different city.

Shower door had a weird seal on the frame which stopped it staying closed leading to lots of water on the floor.
Nice views of park, well appointed room which was clean and comfortable.

The duty manager called me the day before my stay and asked me how they could help with my stay as I had indicated I needed to be near a disabled park. She gave up her parking to make sure I was near the lift. Helped with the luggage and even got a shower chair organized. Great staff Great location and good value for money.

Reasonably sound proof to outside noise but could hear guests in the hall and adjacent room clearly

Small showers - lovely and spacious room, but very small showers, and Im a small person. The room is spacious and could offer a bigger shower. However, pressure was awesome!
The Staff! The lady that checked me in to the gentleman at checked out were awesome. Really helpful and informative lady that checked me in. Definitely recommend. I also like the key access to floors for security
