Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandFitness room was lousy. Buffet avoidable, but likely meets Panamanian standards, which are different than those of international travellers. Coffee was horrendous.
Good value. Nice pool. Restaurant had surprisingly good seafood and Mexican dishes: ceviche, pulpo and tortilla soup.

CroatiaAs I already wrote, hotel is a bit run down, but for a short stay it didn’t bother us too much. There are some other things that would be much easier to fix, and would result in better customer experience. For instance, there is a free shuttle from hotel to the Miraflores (Panama Canal) which is great, but it goes from hotel to Miraflores at 12:00, and return back at 3:00 PM from Miraflores. In the afternoon, first ship doesn’t arrive at Miraflores lock before 2:30 PM, and it takes long to actually pass it, so there is no way to catch a shuttle back if you want to see the ship passing the lock. If pick up time for shuttle would be 3:30 PM (or at least 3:15 PM) that would make much more sense. Breakfast was not really rich, but it was more than enough to start the day. We had lunch in the hotel once. There were two options: buffet (I think it was $18 pp) and a-la-carte (more expensive). We’ve chosen a-la-carte, since at 2 PM when we came to the restaurant, there was not much food left in the buffer option. Fried fish with patacones was very good, and octopus with mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. However, service is the most inefficient we’ve ever seen. Three waiters were serving us, but the Greek salad we’ve ordered has arrived 1.5 hours after we’ve ordered it, and after we reminded all 3 of them exactly 6 times.
Our room was on the 8th floor and the view of the rain-forest was fabulous, especially early in the morning. In the dawn you can also hear monkeys howling. The room - as well as the whole hotel - looked a bit outdated, but the room was spacious, had 2 large and comfortable beds, laptop-size safe, fridge, microwave, and coffee kettle. The receptionist helped us book the tour to the Monkey Island and Embera village (without lunch) which costed $75 per adult, and $37.5 for a child. The tour is not under hotel jurisdiction, but information might be useful to others, so I’m sharing it. At 9:30 AM taxi picked us up, and after 20 minutes drove us to the Gatun Lake dock, where we got on the boat. We had a pleasant ride around the lake, but to be honest - Monkey Island was rather disappointing since we saw just 4 monkeys in the trees. If we decided to go just to Monkey Island tour (which was $50 per adult) we would be bitterly disappointed. We’ve been to Thailand and Sri Lanka, and similar experiences there were much more interesting and way cheaper. However, visit to Embera village enriched our excursion. Nothing spectacular, but it was nice seeing Embera people dressed up in colorful clothes, and learn a bit about their way of living. After that we returned to the dock, paid for our excursion, and taxi drove us back to the hotel at 1:30 PM. You can also take free tour on hotel grounds to see sloth, butterflies, and frogs. We had nice, young lady as a guide on this tour which lasted around 1 hour. There is also a tour with golf cart which costs $4 pp, and takes you to see crocodiles at 5 PM, but it was raining during our stay, so we couldn’t take this one. Hotel is rather close to the Panama City, and you can easily get Uber to drive you to the town (I think we paid around $6 from Albrook Mall to hotel). Altogether, I wouldn’t recommend spending two weeks here, but for a 3 day break and start of our tour around Panama it was very good.

FranceThe A/C is much too cold compared to external temperature. It is an aberration in those time of energy savings! The restaurant is not completely at the standing of the hotel (food served on the menu, waiting time at diner, overall costs)
The hotel is perfectly placed outside the city and close to the rainforest. The golf course is really nice to have a walk with a lot of animals.

United StatesThe Sloth tour was the main reason I booked this hotel. They have a Sloth sanctuary and rescue on site. The tour was lead by a young man wearing a Safari outfit complete with machete. Did I mention it's on their own grounds? He spent too much time on what he enjoyed and as our flight was only a few hours away, we had to remind him we wanted to see the Sloths, not butterflies and fauna. There is one Sloth. I am glad they are taking care of it, and was heartbroken learning the reason it was at the Sanctuary. The location is far away from Panama City and there is nothing nearby except a mall. The pool has seen better days, but pool area is very nice.
The rooms are basic, but clean and a good size. The view from the rooms are very nice. The food was delicious (except for the Asian wings. They look better than they taste). Breakfast is top-notch, highly recommended. The staff was helpful, most were friendly and seemed to be proud of their hotel. The grounds are awesome. I'm not a Golfer, and you don't need to be to stay here, it's a nice, safe place to get your walking in. A good choice if you want a quiet getaway for a few days.
