Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNo beachfront, no pool, typical backpackers. The washroom could have used a sprayer, that was disappointing. The fan was sufficient. But I found it a bit on the pricey side.
Wasn’t overly expensive but for what you get it was pricey.

United KingdomThe rooms are only with fans and still at times it would get hotter in the room than it was outside. With a power cut that happened in the middle of one night it was almost unbearable. When we asked about it in the morning the staff said it would last until 5pm later that day. Wifi is only in certain part of the property not everywhere.
The location and the relax areas were great. Right by the beach and lots of hammocks around.

PhilippinesThe lock for the room needs a replacement and the fan should be changed to improve ventilation in the room.
The room is spacious for a solo traveler with enough bathroom essentials. The lighting is good, especially in the morning.

United KingdomWe did not get the room we paid for. Nowhere near the standard that our money paid for. Found us a slightly better room but said it cost more. This was incorrect as on the website it was cheaper than what we paid ! A dark room. Plumbing leaking. Management would not give a refund so we had to argue for what we got. A month in the Philippines and the worst accommodation for the amount we paid
We loved Siquijor, but advise you to check what you are paying for at Tori’s The regular staff were great

United KingdomToilets didnt flush properly and sadly for a backpackers place its really deserted. The restaurant and bar closed before 9pm.
The room was really big with a nice balcony infront. The location of the property is also great - just right at the end of the main street and infront of the sea

FranceThe reservation said we will have a terrasse and we didn't. The bathroom was just bamboo so like, no real separation with the room, I'm travelling with a friend, so for the intimacy it was not practical.
Next to the beach, quiet, with a pool table, really nice staff and good food. You can rent scooters, the staff is really helpful if you have any question. I recommend that place!

Philippineswhat we didn't like about the room is that you'll feel the vibration of the ac and its a little bit noisy.
We originally booked two rooms. fan room (3pax) and ac room(4pax). The ac room is quite big. originally the ac room is good for 4 but it can actually accommodate 6. We also like that it has beach view which is one of our faves. it has the best sunset view.

SpainThe dorm had an awful vibe… 12 beds in a small room, with one shower and one toilet. I’m pretty sure the private rooms give a better impression of the place
Nice restaurant area with billiards. The kitchen is open for a big part of the day which is great. The location is amazing in front of the beach.

United KingdomThe dorm was a bit hot and depending on which bed you were in, you might not get much benefit of the fans. I guess the worst thing was there were no sockets in dorm and these days I have come to expect each bed to have it's own socket, light and curtain. They had none of them and maybe need to move a bit with the times and upgrade. But it is budget so you don't necessarily expect too much. The pillow was too hard and big for me which I find a lot over here and not good for my neck. But I am 66 so maybe you can deal with it!
Staff were nice happy people as usual in Philippines! The restaurant was a big bamboo barn with really nice atmosphere. A bit set back from the road so not too noisy, nice music and at right volume, subtle lighting. I loved listening to the huge adjacent bamboo thicket creaking in the wind. Close to the sea and Tubod village with its beach. Not too far from San Juan and lots of other eateries though I ate here every night. The food was pretty good and cheap as were the drinks.

SpainIt’s ok, but the family room smelled old and moldy and the floor was cracked. A lot of mosquitoes. Overall the place is really old, it needs a renovation and some more taking care of the place. You should lock the doors as we had unwanted visitors because the place is accesible through the beach.
The food is ok and the pool table and common areas are a good point. Good value for money I suppose.

SpainWe stayed in the common room. There is only one bathroom and a shower for 16 people, for my taste it would have been ideal to have another bathroom. The beds have no curtains and there was no privacy. The staff does not stop going in and out of the room all day and since there were no curtains it was uncomfortable that they were coming and going from 8 a.m. Until 8 pm. sometimes for no reason.
The food is very good in the hostel. They offer all kinds of delicious food: breakfast, sandwiches, meals, etc. The facilities allow you to meet people and do things with them. The common areas are super good. It's very cool that it has access to the beach. It is in the middle of nature

PhilippinesJust the room we stayed, the wifi and lte is weak. We have to go out a couple of steps from the room to get a connection between the 2.
The property is in good location and it has a small beach front. Its near in the marine sanctuary, so we just walked by the beach going to there. The restaurant was affordable and the servings were big. Plus it taste good! The staff were so nice too.
