  • Glenaros Lodge Review Score: 10

“Breakfasts were freshly cooked each morning using local produce, which were very tasty indeed. In addition there was fresh fruit, yogurt & cereals, home made bread and lovely coffee. The bedroom was really spacious with chairs and table in the window overlooking the estuary. Tea & coffee facilities in the bedroom, topped up daily, we particularly liked the biscuits! Lovely bathroom with traditional bath and separate modern shower. We also had use of the downstairs sitting room in the evenings with a log fire. Marcus & Fae are lovely welcoming hosts without being obtrusive, we would recommend their lovely home to anyone visiting the island.”

  • Glengorm Castle Review Score: 10

“Breathtakingly beautiful on arrival with stunning views and 5,000 acres of incredible views in all directions. Inside was an adventure with lots to explore - large bedrooms, 3 living/sitting rooms (one accessed via steps up a castle turret!), huge bathroom with good shower and free-standing bath positioned for awesome views out over the fields towards the sea (admittedly not used because we’ve been having too much fun during daylong hours) well equipped kitchen and, a bit blowy at this time of year but access to the rooftop as well (further up the turret!!). Inside the castle it’s full of character and charm including dreamy log fires in the main living room every night. Outside are fantastic walks through beautiful wild surroundings, peppered with wildlife including highland cows! Our stay will live long in the memory and we won’t hesitate to return if we come back to Mull in the future. A big thank you to the lovely owners, particularly rescuing us on the first night with an extra pack of firelighters when I botched my first attempt to get the log fire going! :)”

  • Kirk Cottage Review Score: 9

“Exceptional continental breakfast, a fantastic spread. Alison, our host, was extremely helpful with advice about local places of interest and great places to eat. We loved our stay and recommend Kirk Cottage without hesitation. The piece de resistance was Alison delivering my forgotten jacket to the ferry wharf just as we were about to get on board! Thank you Alison, for everything.”
