  • Airdenair Guest House Review Score: 8

“Breakfast was enough, standard continental fare. Fresh scrambled eggs and bacons, cereals, toast, various drinks. The manager was very friendly and accomodating, and adjusted our room booking so my family could all be on the same floor.”

  • The Ben Doran Guest House Review Score: 8

“Good location within easy walking distance to the city. Large comfortable room, Facilities good with free tea and coffee available at all times. Friendly staff, good system for key access with individual key box codes. Breakfast adequate, described as full Scottish but didn’t have bacon, black pudding or haggis. Free on site parking and wifi.”

  • “I cannot fault this location at all. It's fairly central to the city and I was able to access bus routes and other means of transportation. Duncan and Mei were just fabulous, there's no beating about with that. Duncan was available night and day for any queries a person might have had and was kind enough to rectify any issues. I made an enquiry on the morning of my second stay about decaffeinated tea and these were arranged for breakfast the following morning. My room was clean, smelt fresh and my bin was emptied every day. Everything was as described. The property is old, by that I mean it is in an older area of the city, so there are small cracks in the masonry but this wouldn't affect you at all and it did not affect me in the slightest. Bed was cosy, sheets clean. I paid £10 to upgrade to a better room from a single to a double with private bathroom and this paid off well for me. The extra privacy enhanced my comfortability. There was a lot of availability for items at breakfast, juices, water, tea, coffee... With some cereals, toast, jams, and yoghurt. You also get a hot option, and Mei was kind enough to remove the meat from mine. Every morning, when I came down, she ensured I wanted the same thing. On the first morning of my stay she was kind enough to chat to me for some time and give recommendations on where to go in the city. Duncan also identified the best bus routes for my stay. Duncan and Mei, you were amazing”
