Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The parking garage clearance was so low and parking spaces were very narrow. It seemed a norm for HI but definitely unusual for me.
The room itself was great! Spacious, great view of the city, great location! 7/11 on the corner of the building was a PLUS!!

The decor was college dorm-like - very sparse and all beds grouped in one corner room - while the beds were comfortable the expectation was a two bedroom apartment. The location left much to be desired.
Location was very strange - it was in the middle of a business district with very, very limited open restaurants.

There are few downsides of the facility that we would not take it again in the future: 1. Our rented car (Full Size SUV) was too high to fit in the parking. There are no other parkings aware. The landlord had no solution to us, but only "exchange the car to smaller one". The booking listing did not warn about the height limit of the car. 2. For the first (out of two) days there was no water available (shower and taps). (Which we were told by the landlord was announced in the elevators... But how can we read signs in the elevator before the trip to Honolulu?) 3. On the second day (our of two) water was available, but only cold! No warm water. So, we had two days in total with no possibilities to take a shower. 4. To go from parking to the room you need to take an elevator 3 to L, then walk a bit and take another elevator L to 24. We waited ages for the elevators. They are much too occupied. Consider 15 - 20 minutes waiting for the elevator. 5. One of the beds, which we booked was not ready and we had to make it ourselves. Not a big problem, but we ordered certain number of beds, so we would prefer to have such number ready to use upon arrival. 6. Not enough electrical sockets for comfort use. 7. The fan in the bathroom extremaly noisy. 8. A/C extremaly noisy. 9. Washing dryer too noisy that not possible to use in the night, as family cannot sleep. 10. Beds were not comfortable, but acceptable (I would call it low-budget standard). 11. To collect and/or leave apartment keys from/to the locker you need to park temporarly illegaly in front of the building. That is crazy! There were problems (especially water and height of the parking) out of the landlord direct responsibility, but landlord did not provide any working solution to us. We spent hours looking for alternative parking, hours waiting for water, hours waiting for warm water. Anyway - we have survived, but would not recommend this facility for this price to other visitors.
The location is great - I cannot think of any better if you want to be in the center of Honolulu. It is even a walking distance from a cruise port. Very nice view to the port from windows. The towels (for all five of us!) were ready (what is not a case in most of the facilities we experienced). The WiFi Internet connection is super-fast and works wonderful. Good for work, good for streaming, etc. Washing machine and dryer available, so very useful!

In Honolulu center, close to everything. No problem with check in, perfect instructions to get keys(I came very late). We had rental car so free parking is a big plus. Accomodation as described, wonderful views from very high floor. Recommend.

Maybe it's just me because I was an architect but the decor was subpar. All fluorescent lighting and hemless silver fraying drapes, made the evening atmosphere sterile and antiseptic. And lord oh lord when you are choosing laminate flooring pick something that is related to an actual tree. Chinatown where all the restaurants that are open in the evenings has alarmed homeless population.
Free parking. Excellent French patisserie next door,
