Before check-in I sent a request that I want to check in at 11:00 pm. In the end. They still let me in at 3:00 pm, but they responded already. After I checked in to my request to check in at 11.The staff takes a very long time to respond to requests.

- Do not expect a clean place. There is dust and grime all over the place. Table and countertops seem mostly clean though, as do the appliances. Don't look under the bed!

- The location is amazing. Just a few stops from the city centre, next to convenience stores, restaurants and cafes, just bring some earplugs if you are sensitive to the sounds of traffic. Highly recommend Windy City Cafe for breakfast.

I loved it! It was very quiet and everything was code accessible only. The room even had a kitchen and kitchen utensils! The only issue I had (not really a big issue) was that the bedding on the sofa bed had to be changed when I came into the room, which staff fixed immediately. Very pleased and recommend to all my friends/family.

Security could have been better. As a female solo traveler, safety is always on my mind. There was no way of telling whether or not the door was locked from the inside and there was no extra lock like a dead bolt or chain. An alarm went off in the hallway in the middle of the night and I was scared to open the door and check because I didn't know who else might be in the building since there's no front desk person, and there was no one I could call. small side note: the hair dryer didn't work.

Convenient location, nice room with a real coffee maker instead of a kurig which I was very excited to see and some local coffee stocked in the cabinet. The tiny dishwasher was nice to have as well as the washer and dryer. Nice shower with quality shampoo, conditioner and soap. This was a convenient and cheaper place to stay and I would stay again.

Day of check in, they didn’t even know I was checking in. Then my friend forgot their toothbrush and we told them we could get it the next day but they never ever responded to my email.

There were a bunch of minor grievances that can be overlooked-- the kitchenware provided were adequate, but limited. The mugs were too small, there was only one steak knife making it difficult to cook a dinner for 2 people, there was no oven mitt. The towels provided were small and shabby. One roll each of paper towels and toilet paper is understandable, as during a 3 day stay one shouldn't be expected to go through a whole roll-- but they were cheap, thin, nonabsorbant products, and not having a single spare emergency TP roll makes this not friendly for IBS sufferers. Something more notable was that it was impossible to cook without setting off the smoke detector. The main reason I chose this apartment versus a more traditional hotel was the kitchenette, but even with the exhaust fan on max and the window wide open, the smoke alarm would always go off. I'm not talking just searing a steak on the stovetop-- running the oven on bake at a reasonable temperature, not even using the broiler, would set it off. I had to take a large towel and billow the smoke toward the window to get it to stop, as the ceiling was too high to even access the smoke detector. Finally, the hands off approach I mentioned favorably in the previous section had a consequence which I view to be the most glaring offense, the sin which if not amended leaves me no choice but to eschew booking here again in the future. Being so hands off as to suggest a lack of care over the property, I had numerous encounters with large spiders and insects during my stay. During the first few hours of being in the apartment alone there was a large spider and large centipede in the main studio, and during a later night there were centipede sightings in the bathroom. I can forgive one or maybe even two of these encounters. We live in a city, shit happens. But the continued sightings and the fact that these were big creepy crawlies made it seem like the property was not well maintained.

The quality of the amenities felt a step above a chain hotel at a comparable price point. The location was exceptional for walkable proximity to local stores, bus and train stops, and feeling a little secluded and not too noisy. The apartment itself was cozy and comfortable and largely what I had hoped for. The hands off approach to check-in and management felt exclusive and private.

The experience wasn’t necessarily bad, but soooo overpriced for how run down the units are. The pictures are extremely dated, and at one point in time I’m sure this was a nice place, but holy smokes has it fallen into disrepair. The unit reeked of mold and the floors were severely water damaged. There was also a ton of dust accumulation and just general grime on the walls and furniture. For the exact same price you could book at a Sonder property and get the same level of amenities with units that are immaculately maintained.

We had problems with the lock on our cabin door, and it took multiple attempts each time to unlock the door. Despite this property claiming to have parking, there is no parking, and we were not able to get a parking spot at the advertised spot hero site. I was also charged $4.50 just to add the second guest’s name to the booking.

When arrived The body wash dispenser in my restroom was empty. I didn't have change to ask to the staff because there is not staff there. My blanket have a blood stain too and one of the white towels have a black stain again. Improved your laundry service please.

Some rooms do face the highway and it can be a little noisy.

It’s located right off of the blue line and is close to bars and restaurants. The kitchen is nice and well equipped, and it’s always nice to have a washer and dryer in unit.

The beds were a little stiff, and there is a deposit of $250 that I didn't notice until I booked. The neighborhood is not too cozy, but again, the location is good, there is a grocery store and a CVS right across the street. If you are staying for a week or so in CHI, I definitely recommend this as an option.

This was a great place to stay. Very affordable and a great convenient location in a part of town that is not too busy like downtown. I liked that everything was airplane themed. It was basically a better AirBnB.
