Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Nothing was a negative
Addy’s Villas was the perfect location. Super quick to get to either Venice or Sarasota. The room was extremely clean and every little thing was provided for. It felt like home. Check-in was a breeze by being given a door code to come as late as needed. Didn’t need to try to make it before the office closed. Excellent customer service too! We’ll definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!

Conveniently located for where we wanted to be. Property was well maintained and clean. Laundry room was available and sooo appreciated.

Nothing not to love
Immaculate, is the only way to describe Addy’s Villas. The effort put into this property is amazing. From landscaping to Villas cleanliness there is absolutely nothing overlooked. From checking to departure all you have to do is RELAX, that’s the feel here. I’ve stayed several times and will certainly stay again. From checkin to departure

I was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness of the 2 bedroom villa. We totally enjoyed our stay. There were lots of extra care taken in wrapping all kitchen items. Appreciated that. They didn’t cut costs on amenities- even Charmin soft toilet tissue. I wasn’t expecting an outdoor pool. Thank you .

The air-conditioning kicked on and off loudly and it was hard to sleep, you could also hear the neighbors next to you and the outside noise. Not enough kitchen supplies. Also please wash the floors and windows!
Very good pool, location to everything within driving distance. The owners were helpful when we needed things. Free use of washer and dryer.

Not much to say here.
Classic and charming old school Florida. So much more interesting than a sterile, big box hotel. Nice pool and grounds. Rooms as expected. Made friends with lots of sidewalk lizards.

Nothing! Keep up the great work, Mike and Chuck!
Location is perfect, owners are very accommodating, very clean facilities, washer/dryer on-site, comfy beds, love the garage and screened in porch, and our kids always spend half our vacation in the pool! We will be spending year #5 with Mike and Chuck next year, so be ready for us again!

Our only complaint is we wish the property offered slightly bigger villas with two bathrooms, family of 4 with only 1 bathroom can sometimes be a challenge especially with 2 kids.
The property was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very nice, providing us with any extra towels or trash bags as soon as we asked for them. They were able to accommodate our early check-in so we could put our children down for their naps at their normal hour which was a huge help for us.

Location is not what I expected mostly everything you have to get in car to go , restaurants, stores. I like a location where beach is in walking distance and some shops and restaurants. Beach is close by car like 6 minutes.
It was a peaceful location, nice pool , hosts very friendly

NA- Everything was great! Only negative--we wished we could have stayed longer!
There was nothing not to love! The grounds of this property are amazingly well groomed and beautiful. Chuck and Michael responded to our calls professionally and immediately-- but more importantly they were warm and welcoming. It was clear that they wanted our stay to be wonderful. And it was. I was traveling for fun with four of our grandchildren (8, 11, 12 & 16) and Addy's Villa's two bedroom cottage was pleasantly furnished. The great room living space had a tasteful, high-quality, tropical living room pull-out sofa and chairs and a nice dining set that made for an exceedingly comfortable stay. The beds are great, the cottage spotless and well equipped. Every detail was above and beyond expectations. Laminated directions for WIFI connections, the operation of TV remotes and emergency contact info was provided along with an Addy's Villas Welcome Book containing information about local attractions, maps, shopping, and restaurants. Everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals "at home" was provided and sealed in individual plastic bags to ensure cleanliness!!! The screened in furnished patio and one car garage - complete with an automatic door opener- were frosting on the cake! Did I mention the washer and dryer? Awesome! The gorgeous pool, while not huge, has been recently resurfaced and the pool deck was finished with a coating that was cool on our feet- even in the hot Florida sun (it was above 90!). The location was literally minutes from lovely Venice and Nokomis Beaches, yet near Publix, Dollar General and many familiar restaurants. We LOVED our time here. If you select Addy's Villas for your vacation lodging you will be in for a truly delightful time! PS Thank you, Chuck & Michael for helping me make memories for my grand-kiddos to last a life time.

Perfect location for us to visit family, enjoy shopping and restaurants, Venice Farmer's Market. Great new fridge with ice maker and everything is clean and organized. Love staying here. We already booked our holiday stay in December!
