Have stayed here 4 times and for a single room in the heart of San Francisco it's an excellent value. Staff friendly, clean room, good bed, shower etc. If only it weren't so loud it would be great! The doors of the rooms slam so you hear that every time someone comes/goes. Noise from above-sounds like someone moving furniture, very disruptive. I didn't get good sleep even though the bed was comfortable. A pity.

Not hair dryer in the room, they didn't clean in all our stay. You have to leave a deposit for the keys of 20$ in cash. The lobby was smelly and you could hear everything from the neighbors and people in the corridor.

Common areas were below average. Lounge was a den and kitchen/eating area wasn’t that clean. Staff weren’t that warm. Overall, was pleasant enough, good spot to book a room and then see SF. If you’re looking for a community feeling, look elsewhere.

The hostel was quite noisy, with people moving around to the kitchen and lounge. Our room was down stairs, so wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility issues.

This is a backpackers hostel. We had a private room with ensuite which was clean and compact. The location is right n the centre of town , a block from Union Square. Lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Transport is easy to get to.

The noise was an issue. I understand that it’s a hostel, and some rooms are shared, but we were on the first floor, and we could hear people stomping and jumping at night, which made it difficult to rest. The same happened with people walking through the hallways late at night. The cleaning starts early, and the loud noise also woke us up. I understand cleaning, but the rest comes down to people being respectful of others' time.

The hotel’s location is the best, just 5 minutes from Union Square and 7 from Chinatown. There are also many food shops nearby. The room size was very comfortable, and the bathroom was great too. Additionally, they have a kitchen, laundry, and other shared spaces on the lower floor. We enjoyed how close everything was, and several buses stop nearby, connecting you with the city.

The way to the rooms is not with elevators, cos you'll need to take the stairs up first. They're not organized -- the beds are not assigned. For me with medical conditions, they ignored my request for a lower bed.

The room heaters weren't working at night for some reason. The bathroom at the lobby needs to be cleaned more. But the bathroom in the room was fine #2. There is no parking in the hotel. You will need to park outside on the road or pay for parking.

The location is great. The hotel wasn't bad for the price. It was good enough for a few days.

The intense desire for inauthentic and increased action like the keycard not working to let me in the front door to which they front desk buzzed me in and then proceeds to tell me that its working correctly, when I came back downstairs after not being let in to my room on the 4th floor

I found most of the staff, along with the guests they fraternised/conspired with were more concerned with deeming me what they considered "high" which I found was just justification for their ill treatment which included following me to the bathroom and standing outside and talking my door when I had a a private room, even as much as sitting and starting profusely as I sat in common areas or after I came back inside from smoking in the front near their entracne/stoop
