Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFood was delicious! Live music on Saturday night. There were some renovations going on, so the sunroom was unavailable, that was the only drawback. But there was no noise from any of that. The inn is lovely, room/bed was very comfortable, the staff is very friendly. I would gladly return!

United StatesOur actual room in a different building was not totally clean . The main Inn seemed substantially nicer and very nice in general . Checking out around 6:30 was really inconvenient as the main Inn was locked so I could not physically check out. After calling I had to go back to my room, which was a drive back, to drop my key back off. Not a huge deal just inconvenient and a turn off from the overall experience.
The main Inn building was beautiful, especially the front porch . The tavern was very lovely with a nice atmosphere, are sever was great and the live music was really entertaining. A little loud for the closeness of the tables. Good was great !

United KingdomWe were in the lodge building which is less characterful. The view of the mountains was blocked by a tree right outside the window! However, the room was large and the bed was comfortable so it didn't matter too much.
The main building is a charming historic building with bags of character, and the reception area is nicely restored and decorated, Breakfast was a simple buffet but good quality e.g. granola was home made. The swimming pool is in a gorgeous location overlooking the mountains and although possibly unheated (?) it was a refreshing dip and relaxing space. We ate at the restaurant in the main buiilding and the food was good. The cocktails were delicious!

United StatesCoffee was weak. Given the quality of the breakfast, coffee could have been a little stronger. We were in the lodge as opposed to the Inn, so I can't comment on the Inn's rooms. There looks like there's another space that was previously a stable(?) or barn(?), but has been converted. Very lovely from the outside. The room in the lodge was fine-functional, but nothing special. I wish it had been as quaint as the main spaces in the Inn, but I also understand that it acquired a new owner recently, so maybe they'll do something when they can? It was clean and stocked with thick towels, pool towels, extra pillow and blanket.
The property is gorgeous and spacious. The Main building (Inn) is as you'd hoped it would be if you are staying at an Inn. It was well kept and respectful of the time period it was built in (I think the front desk said around 1860) Coffee/tea/water available in the main building. Comfortable furniture, board games, magazines, a chess set ready to play, a beautiful veranda looking out to the hills, indoor and outdoor eating areas, a fire pit, swimming pool and tennis court, and a lovely breakfast w/fresh fruit, assorted homemade options, etc There was also a quiet "Tavern" connected to the building. Since we were there to attend a wedding, we unfortunately did not spend much time utilizing the facilities- although we dd sit in the Living room for a while, after the wedding. Very relaxing. Staff was very friendly and answered my phone calls (yes- a live person), when I called. They offered me worthwhile assistance.

CanadaWe stayed on the 3rd floor, which is a steep climb up a narrow staircase to the top floor and there is no elevator. No problem for us, but if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a lower-floor room.
We stayed here because we were attending an event at Tanglewood Garden. It was very conveniently located, a 10-minute walk away. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the breakfast in the morning was lovely with a table overlooking the Berkshires.

United StatesOverall we had a great experience. We came for a JT show and stayed a couple of nights. You can’t beat walking to and from a show. Food and drinks were excellent. It was nice getting out in the sun and swimming in the pool and enjoying the view. Nice bonus playing a little ball with Max. Will definitely be back again!

United StatesHot water took a longggg time, asked cleaning woman for ice, she looked in fridge and said no ice. No voluntary service from cleaning lady to get some for me. No TV, no refrigerator in room, no phone in room. Was very basic although I blame myself for not reading the amenities VERY carefully. Monday night was no restaurant and no bar which again my fault. Called property in advance to confirm blow dryer in room. In the morning, I could not find one anywhere.
Location, pool, front desk, bed and pillows. Grounds were beautiful

United StatesThe lobby bar could have stayed open longer, especially since it was a Saturday night.
Overall everything was wonderful. The Inn was charming, in a beautiful location with views to match. The staff was friendly and the best part… the resident dog! We picked the Inn because of its proximity to the event we were attending and the affordable rate with no required minimum night stay. It exceeded our expectations and I would certainly book again and highly recommend to others visiting the area.

United States13 emails in 3 days. None of them stated the apparent need to do a pre check in. The email made it seem like it was a courtesy to expedite check in. However I did not have my credit card with me, when I attempted to complete the link sent. I did not think it was necessary since my room was paid in full. What could be the problem? We arrived later than expected about 6 pm. We wanted to take a quick shower and depart for a show. We unloaded the car and went into reception. Unfortunately, no one was there nor was our key. No one answered the bell. We called phone number but the person answering the phone had poor English and was not at the property. After 5-10 min, an employee STROLLED up to us. When I explained that we were pressed for time, she projected that this was our problem not hers. She even continued the next morning with unwelcoming behavior. She also did not mention that the second key was for the outer door to the building. This would have been helpful as our hands were full. We would have had it at the ready to enter the building. It is a small courtesy but it is the small things that make or break a visit. Sunday morning I received 2-3 more emails. When I clicked on the one for check out, it said I had already checked out. Why send me an email to check out if I was “already checked out”. Clutter my inbox and waste my time. Your AI program needs some work.
Beautiful setting, comfortable, great location, peaceful, cozy fire in main building, and good breakfast.

United StatesThe room was clean but the area rug had some pretty noticeable stains. There was shampoo and body lotion, but I was surprised there was no hair conditioner. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.
We were greeted by James who was welcoming and extremely helpful. The grounds are beautiful and there is a path that leads right to the overflow parking lot of Tanglewood, our destination for the evening. Bed was big and comfortable. Beautiful and clean pool area.
