Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAgain, this inn has GREAT POTENTIAL ... we wished the restaurant was open on Sunday. We understand, eating in Lenox can be challenging Sunday evening thru Wednesday. The bathrooms could really use an update, our shower had a broken handle (double handles that I dont think would pass inspection in my home state) and the wallpaper was coming off the walls ... minor issues, as our room was very clean. Our bedroom had a lovely double door that opened - I wish it had screens so we could have kept it open over night. No TV ... again, minor - we came for Tanglewood. Our room was pretty expensive, but still charged a resort fee. The pull out sofa was OLD and WORN, very squeaky. Visitors should be warned that the ceilings are not very high in the 3rd floor rooms ... my husband and son are both over 6 foot and needed to be careful. There were buckets of dirty towels stashed in a visible nook on the way to our room for our entire stay ... odd.
This Inn has great potential. The location is amazing, beautiful grounds and view, so close to Tanglewood main gate. Our room was well air conditioned (it was on the 3rd floor and I was concerned it would be HOT). Everyone I dealt with at the Inn was very pleasant. This was our second stay and the main house was MUCH nicer than the lodge. WiFi was good. It was very peaceful after the live music ended. Fire pit was nice.

United StatesThe lodge was like a motel, door could open without key, windows don’t open, and no one came to make up bed or clean. Expect more for over $350 a night.
Great Location to Tanglewood. We could walk there.Wonderful views, great pool. We had a lovely dinner on the terrace.

United StatesSorry I have nothing.
The breakfast is much improved from before and I still and always will love that porch. Would suggest getting a second Keurig--that thing never stops at breakfast time. I LOVE the pub and the music and can't wait to come back and eat there.

United StatesI DID NOT like that we were all checked in and the Manager Laura said "...oh by the way, your suite is over the Tavern and the music is live from 8-2 a.m. Aaaaaarrrrgggghhh, it was the WORST night sleep and I request to have my room fee comp.'ed back to my credit card immediately!
It was adequate but I love a plateful of eggs and bacon! Eating outside was Devine!

United StatesAs a result of the lack of central air, the downstairs was very hot and the room air conditioner in our room (which stayed nice and cool) was so noisy, it was hard to sleep.
It is a beautiful, well kept vintage property.

United StatesMay not be a good location for a less mobile person. Tricky stairs and property is on a hill.
The location was right for going to Tanglewood. we walked over to the main gate. Avoided the traffic.

United StatesMy husband and I were lucky enough to book at Apple Tree Inn for Tanglewood’s July 4th celebration with James Taylor. Getting out of the Tanglewood parking lot after concerts is such a nightmare. What a treat to be able to walk there and back from the inn. Room was cute, bed super comfortable, soft sheets and powerful a/c. Breakfast of meats, cheeses, bagels/croissants , lox’s and cereal was appreciated before we hit the road. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

United StatesRoom in Lodge: filthy carpet, chipped paint everywhere, ground level window opened to a gravel path that felt unsafe, dingy bathroom, dank musty smell. Not accessible for people with even mild mobility issues. Terrible value for the price, rude and sneering staff.
