Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room, while clean and stylish, was on the smaller side. It was a bit of a tight squeeze, but the layout was smart and efficient, and the views from the windows more than made up for it. If you're someone who values extra space, this might be something to keep in mind.
I had an incredible stay at the Arlo Nomad Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the sleek and modern design of the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was compact but well-appointed, and I loved the city views from the large windows—it really felt like a true New York City experience. The amenities were top-notch, with comfortable bedding and high-quality bathroom products. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the heart of the Nomad neighborhood, with so many great restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. The rooftop bar was a highlight too—great drinks and even better views of the skyline. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The Arlo Nomad offers the perfect mix of style, comfort, and location, and I would definitely stay here again when I return to NYC!

The hotel staff are amazing! We brought our lab with us and they were all so nice to us and her - incredibly kind and welcoming! The hotel location is great and laid out very nicely. The rooms are on the smaller side but actually very comfortable and more spacious than some other New York hotels we stayed in. The roofdeck has spectacular views, and the lounge spaces are also very thoughtfully laid out and decorated beautifully. We would definitely stay at the Arlo nomad again without hesitation!!

The lobby host, Brianna, was really exceptional and outstanding; she welcomed us warmly with her sunny personality. Although our check-in time was 3PM, she allowed us to check in around 10.30AM. It really made me want to come back. Not to mention, the hotel room was chic and cozy. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

United KingdomThe bedroom floors weren’t cleaned since we arrived. It was super frustrating having dust and dirt just all over the bedroom floors every evening when you’d like to come back to a clean space after a busy day around the city.
Every accommodating and the location was amazing. The staff were super kind and helpful too. Great food options in the hotel restaurant :)

United KingdomThe £15 voucher can only be used in the diner and not for coffee.
The location of the hotel is perfect for tourists as it’s really close to most attractions and easy to commute to more further attractions. Rooms are pretty small but cleaned daily and my stay was comfortable.

CanadaThe heating was not the best, the room was cold. The room has no coffee machine, no kettle or tea bags, which usually it should be provided for considering it's a 4 star hotel.

PolandEverything was great, except for the transparent bathroom door, through which you can see and hear everything. This is below the dignity of a human being. This caused a significant lowering of the Hotel's rating.

United KingdomWe picked the hotel from a shortlist of 5 solely on the basis that it had a rooftop. The rooftop was closed and we did not receive any notification regarding this.
The location is fantastic and the relationships it holds with local businesses such as HealthX and Tonehouse are very cool.

United StatesI had 2 different reservations so I asked if they could put me in the same room so I didn’t have to change rooms during my stay. They said “sure” and the next day they asked me to remove all my stuff and change rooms. I chose the same hotel on purpose so I didn’t have to change rooms. I paid 400 usd a night and had to change rooms in a hurry because they wanted to clean it and give it to another guest. Which was stupid, I could have stayed in the same room and they could have given the other room to the new guests. The other room looked very similar. In the end I should have stayed in another hotel nearby for a cheaper price since they made me change rooms and floors anyway. The new room I got was next to the electrical closet with made a lot of noise at night and during the day.
Perfect location. Beautiful view of the Empire State Building on the rooftop. Friendly staff.
