Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe other guests were allowed to do and say what they wanted. I watch two Indian guests or whatever nationality they were, harass and assault another guest and got him to move hostels.
Only liked the location because it is in a prime area and transportation is simple.

AustraliaBed and linen is dirty, room and toilets is tiny, full of plastic flowers that collects dust and strong deodorant smell. No one manages the place, owner just remote orders some cleaners each day.
Good size semi outdoor kitchen and common area.

United StatesThe add-on bathroom was difficult to maneuver in, this flaw detracted from the property. Additionally, the bedroom walls are thin so I could hear everything and felt immersed in the arguments.
Great location and has great workers though they argue like a couple. Plenty of space in the kitchen. The main bathroom is nice. The concept has a happy artsy feel. Hi-speed internet works well.

FranceMy room was too cold and the AC could not be touched to be adjusted because it was centralized for other rooms as well. I ended up catching a cold because of it. The blankets on beds were really small as well. The manager was really helpful and tried to give me more to keep me warm. But it was just not really confortable to sleep with 3 small blankets
The manager was really helpful

IsraelLocation is in a little sketchy neighbourhood and far from public transportation and interesting places. In my room stayed 2 man that were very nice but I felt that they are tenants more than visitors, and their stuff were spread everywhere. Room is too small. Didn’t eaally have the expected social hostel environment. I was top bunk and the bed felt wiggly
The low price and the host (Chris), he was lovely and helpful

United StatesI was booked for two weeks in a Single Private Room and had to leave halfway because I was completely grossed out when I realized the place was infested. I started getting itchy the morning after I slept in that bed. I noticed insect bites on my legs first. I was out all day, and that night, I grabbed a "clean" sheet set and changed it myself since it was late. The next day, I was more itchy and had more bites. I noticed small black specks on the sheets, floor, and walls. I changed the sheets again, and the clean sheets also had specks. I figured the sheets were probably old, but if they were washed, they should be fine. Again, the next day, I was itchy and had even more bites on the back of my neck and torso. That is when I started seeing insects moving around on the ceiling. I grabbed my phone to see it better, recorded it, and started taking photos of all I was seeing. I saw some weird insect walking on the wall, ceiling, and near the WiFi router that was on a black corner shelf. I knew I couldn't stay there another night and called Booking.com for my options. The reason I chose this place was because of the question they answered for another guest about service animals, stating that they could only allow a service dog if the guest booked the private room. I made the booking and left a note about the service dog, and the host (Chris) called me back very quickly. They apologized, but they could not allow the service dog and didn't know why that was there. They offered to waive the cancellation fee, but I had to stay somewhere, so I asked if the manager could maybe make an exception. I was given the manager Kayla's number and explained the details again via SMS, but they said they could not allow the service animal. They said I could cancel, and they would waive the cancellation fee.
Not much. More bad. I called BOOKING.com for their help. They would start a complaint and Ask for the Photos and videos I had taken of the infestation. The next day, I called Booking.com to ensure they received the photos I sent via email. That was when they advised me the Hostel had responded and claimed that I had brought a dog into the room. I was truly shocked. I could not believe they would flat-out lie when they knew I never brought the dog with me, and they have the place under 24-hour surveillance. And that they would so easily use the previous interaction about their policy regarding service animals to dismiss my complaint. Booking.com was going to reply to them that I had photos and videos proving my claim of the infestation. And I advised them to request the video that supposedly would prove theirs to see what they would say. I also emailed them with the photos I had and sent them to Kayla as well, but she didn't reply. I also was not planning to review them as long as they did the right thing, but now I need to warn others what they are walking into. I will likely have to call my bank if they do not do the right thing in the next 24 hours. I'm including a few pictures and videos of the disgusting state of this place. You've been warned!!!
