Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The artezen hotel was fantastic! Our room was so clean, water and beds made everyday. Staff were so friendly and willing to help with any questions or query’s. We found the location great, easy access to subways, ground zero, stock exchange and statan island ferry.

This has been my second time staying at the Artezen, amazing hotel, beautiful rooms with super comfy beds and the addition of the new rooftop bar is amazing great food and cocktails, across the street is subway station at fulton Street with access to manhatten, walking distance to brooklyn Bridge, world trade centre, wall street, Can't thank Daniel enough for all his tips and recommendations he is so helpful and a lovely helpful young man the Artezen are lucky to have him.

Excellent adress in downtown Manhattan close to Fulton Street Subway station with easy access to Brooklyn, Upper Town,...etc. Rooms are small but well equipped with storage room in large drawers under the bed. Staff is very friendly, direct connection to Tutto Calcio Espresso bar for a nice breakfast (which is not included in the hotel reservation). A very nice experience and I would definitely return back on our next NYC trip!

Due to limited spacing, clam shell check-in luggage will require finesse to work with (they provided plenty of storage options). Other than that, they are very accommodating and understanding.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Location is away from the main road, yet close to the main attractions. Also close to a subway connecting to many routes. Comfy and cosy room (proper usage of space). Highly recommended (especially for your first visit).

The only con to our stay was that having booked a king-sized bed, there wasn't room left for a crib. Not that this was a big deal as the main bed was big enough to fit three or four people.
I stayed at Artezen hotel in NY with my husband and one-year-old baby for a week and our stay was an absolute pleasure. The hotel is perfectly located (subway stops all around, close to all kinds of restaurants and supermarkets, near many tourist attractions). The facilities were impeccable and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, in fact, all of our requirements were taken care of in a warm and thoughtful way. It was really comforting to have water and coffee refilled in the room every morning. We booked a king-sized bed that was so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud, we appreciated this after long hours of sightseeing. Also, the Italian restaurant downstairs serves good deal dishes like pasta, salad and paninis - actually, some of the best pistachio pesto I've had in a long while. Long story short, would most definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, we nailed it.

We loved the option to add amenities to our room as well as the snacks they provided during our stay. The hotel felt very warm and friendly, which is not always the case in NYC. The rooftop restaurant was also great, they had special offerings for the holiday weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food and mocktails were!

Excellent, helpful staff. Well-connected downtown location. Fulton St subway is 2mins away. Nice room, and one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed. Top floor Hide bar is nice.

Not great neighborhood but everything downtown is the same. So it’s on par in terms of neighborhood.
Excellent location. Excellent casual restaurants nearby. 5 min walk to Fulton station. Staff was amazingly attentive. Loved everything! Would love to come back.
