the room smelled bad he said it was cause they just layed down the new carpet so we sprayed perfume to mask the smell there was no microwave or coffee pot like it said

the room smelled like cigarettes; the shower had debris inside of it; the sink had some congealed-orange substance (not sure what it was) stuck in the basin; there were roaches. There was a pile of rugs and lamps in the parking lot just behind our car. Food debris and vomit was on the walk in front of our room each morning along with trash. I didn’t mind the outside noise directly in front of our window, you might.

The location is stellar—a block from the beach. both check-in and check-out are easy. Everyone working there is super kind and helpful!

We did find several roaches in the room, which was unsurprising because our door did not seal properly. It locked but there were gaps around the frame. We stayed in rooms 218 and 219. The air conditioner in 218 was not functional either, and the lack of overhead lighting made the rooms very dark. Pool was closed for maintenance during our entire stay.

We loved the location, easily walkable to the boardwalk with shopping and dining in abundance.

I had virtually no control over room temp (too cold). The room had a single lamp (the only light source). The property is under renovation. The cable TV had only six channels, two of which were the Game Shoe Network.

It was easy to find and very close to the beach. The hot water was reliable. I wish I could say more.

we have handicap permit, but when u get to facility there are cones in the spot that says do not park. there's a paper sign saying no smoking, no vaping, no marijuana. all u could smell from ppl downstairs or upstairs was marijuana. the heater never kicked in so we asked for a blanket and they gave us a smelly urinal one. I had to go purchase one that same night. killed 2 small 1 big cockroach. only good thing about the place was the friendly person who gave us room key.

I never have any complaints! We are hardly in the room, but the bathroom door was a little broken, but nothing to really complain about.

There were no kitchen utensils or cookware. Wasn't expecting to have to bring/buy a pan when booking a room with a full kitchen. I may have missed that detail in the description when booking, but I was not prepared when I would have been otherwise. Most channels on the TV did not work. Recommend bringing your own streaming service.

Great location close to everything we wanted to do. Most places were walking distance, and the section of beach across the street was well maintained. The room was plently big enough for my group of 5. The staff was super helpful and friendly. My kids loved the pool, and the view of ferris wheel from pool deck was nice.

This was our second time staying here, last year wasn't too bad this year, the door latch was broken, the lights didn't have any light bulbs, the main drape across the window was dirty and falling apart and not hung correctly. The smoke detector was missing, the air vent had moldy hair coming out of it, the shower curtain in the bathroom was not hung correctly also look like somebody may have been killed in the bathroom I think there may have been blood on the wall. The bathroom door was falling apart and there was a weird skim or film around the top of the bathroom wall. Also we found empty beer cans behind the bed.

The location is pretty key to All things Virginia Beach. One block from the beach one block from the boardwalk.

The room had new mattress, new tv,new drawers,the carpet was new too .from the last time we stayed there.wish was in 2017,we used to cone every year and stay at this same motel for over 13 years. But unfortunately the sheets was dirty they haven’t been change,the pillow cases was dirty they haven’t been changed, we were in room 205,the blankets were dirty they haven’t been changed. They way mold coming out the vents. The hold room just felt nasty to even walk on the floors. The sink in the bathroom, was back up,no one came to fixed it,the water took hrs before it goes down,the shower water was barely coming out,and the sink in 5he kitchen was loose and not working properly. They should have gave us another room,or half of our money back.i will never stay there again we paid to much money to live like that I was very disappointed.

When finding cheap motels you should have the understanding that you pay for what you get! This is a great location, tons of food, shopping and activities within walking distance. The beach and boardwalk take less than 5 mins to walk to. The convenience of everything nearby meant we didn't need to drive and find parking everywhere. The motel is old but mostly clean and the staff is friendly. You can't help what guests also book here. When you book low cost you also get some low life guests sharing the area with you. It's not the hotels fault it's the demographic for the price you are willing to save by booking here. We ENJOYED our stay with Beach Carousel. It was a great savings to spend elsewhere on our vacation while still having a place to come back to shower and rest for the night before our next day of adventure. We never saw any bugs or mold. We weren't actively trying to look for things. If you want to nut pick this place you definitely will find things because it's older and meant to be more affordable. Thank you for a safe comfortable stay we are definitely looking forward to coming back again!
