I liked where it was.

it wasn’t to far from where our family lived. I didn’t like that there was pubic hair in the shower when we got there. it could’ve been a lil cleaner.

No coffee and after 10 no access to anyone in the lobby. Not cleaned exceptionally well.

to the location and the fact that our room was bug free, they got 3 stars. As we entered to put our keys down at the table in our room I noticed the dried up stuff on the dresser top, under the TV. I checked the bed and linens. 1 bed had a mattress cover, one did not. The linens on the pillow cases had mascara stains on them. The sheet on top of the comforter had dirt streaks on them. The actual sheets you sleep in smelled clean (like bleach) I pulled it all back and checked for bugs. I did not find debris or anything that would make me think there were any. They only have 2 towels in the bathroom. That sucked, we were a party of 4. The floors were not swept. Toe nails and stuff tracked in from prior guests were on the floor. The pillows are old and had me sleeping all messed up. I woke up multiple times from discomfort. They have gas station coffee in your room you can make a cup of. They only give you one sugar and powder creamer for it. Guy at the desk shuts down at 10p. No way to contact desk. So we had to share towels after the shower. There was garbage in the trash from prior guests as well. There are homeless sleeping in tents outside the fence area on the street. It does not bother us, but may bother others. The parking issue is insane. You may have to park on the street as parking inside the motel area was packed. We just got lucky and found a spot as someone was leaving. PROS: it's a 15 minute walk to the Santa Cruz pier. Tons of things to do there. Lots of people walking there and back. Overall, for the cost of the room and the fact that it was bug free, I'm happy with that

The noise came from other rooms. Chanels on tv were not on. The parking lot was under construction which was hard to drive to park. Wifi not working.

The swimming pool was awesome!! The jacuzzi was also great.

The swimming pool was accidentaly out of order in time of our stay, but this is acceptable if there was necessary to change the water in it.

This was one of the best hotel on my road trip from SF to LA. This hotel is aligned with the surf spirit of the Santa Cruz city. Room was clean and enormous big. I was very very satisfied.

I stayed twice during my holiday - first time everything was great second time WiFi didn’t work and the window to the back was broken and could be easily opened from the outside - I was so tired that I just wedged a coat hanger in it to keep it closed - I’m sure they would have changed my room if I had told them but I was tired after a long drive - I told them in the morning and they were very apologetic. Also if you want to have a bath ask for a plug at reception as the plug thing in the bath didn’t work anymore.

The area is sketchy a lot of homeless and illegal activities going on but I didn’t have any issues with anyone or my car being messed with. I did notice there’s a lot of long term people staying at this property and the only thing I would do next time is book upstairs because the people I had above us were up all night the two nights I stayed there. It was horrible and they would run the bath all night that we didn’t have running hot water in both rooms the next day!!! I wish the two bdrm had a kitchenette like the king rooms

I loved the rooms, I booked two rooms since I was traveling with family and I got the two bdrm and both rooms had my family comfortable since we could have our own privacy.

Pool time were 10am until 10pm - I would have liked to swim when I got up at 8am by 10am I’m up and ready to explore.

Came with a full size kitchen, but no pots, pans, or utensils. Maybe we should have realized and brought something? Spent a little more on this place to be able to save money on eating out, but that didn’t work out at all.

Location was perfect, not too busy at night but walking distance to downtown shopping and beach. Hotel was updated and clean. Microwave worked and fridge was a great size.
