Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I didn’t like how there wasn’t any shelves or closet space to hang your clothes.
I like how there was a separate room from the front bed. The beds were comfy and I like how there was an indoor pool and spa. I also liked how there was a front patio area where you can hang out and play games.

I wish the pool was outdoors. It would be nice to have actual glasses in the room rather than plastic cups. The snacks available were limited and no real healthy options.
Like that the room was super clean and modern. The staff is great: very nice and polite. Super easy check-in and check-out Dealing with the lovely gent at the front desk or the attendant via video at the kiosk makes for a nice experience. The location is very good. It's a short walk to downtown or to the beach.

The parking lot was very full past 8pm. This would be the main thing to keep in mind: Be prepared to park near the property on one of the side streets if you are out in the evening (we went midsummer, so may not even be an issue in the fall-spring).
Staff, including front desk staff, was very helpful. We stayed in a room that had an extra bedroom and it was quiet and worked well for a family. The pool was a huge plus for our young family, and the location, walking distance from the boardwalk, was incredible. Would definitely stay again.

Only thing I didn’t like was that at night it got super busy. Around 8pm it would get packed with people and parking would be hard to find.
The location, room, and staff were amazing. Very near the boardwalk, only a 10 minute walk. Didn’t get to try out the indoor pool but nonetheless our stay was amazing.

There was some repairs were done to spots of the walls, but not very well and the correct paint color wasn’t used so it looked really tacky and cheap. Walls were very thin
I like the indoor pool and all the recreation activities at the hotel. We got a suite so we loved having our own room from the kids. It was very spacious

The bathroom tub drain was gross and needed to be cleaned. Felt like your feet are taking a bath in all the previous guests dirt and hair. Need more parking

Need more parking ang a better smoking section. Would have loved to sit in front under the unbrella table and enjoy the atmosphere.
Very close walking distance to Santa Cruz about 15 minutes. Very friendly and clean hotel. Love the separate rooms in one unit.

Everything looked fairly new and updated, but the cleaning smells were strong when we entered. No lamps at all and no closet or rack in extra room and only a small rod for hanging things in the main room. Only had ceiling lighting throughout. Seems some punch list things need to be completed from the remodel.
The beds were new and fabulous. Our TVs did not work properly and the front desk came right away and set us up. It was fairly quiet. Very roomy, minimalist...no carpets. Great fridge. AK was super great and let us leave our luggage while we waited for our room to be ready for an early check in. All the staff was very friendly! Super Clean. Back room was very quiet. We had the two room suite.
