Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Would’ve been nice if it had doormats outside each room to keep down the amount of sand on the floors in the rooms and had a hot tub in the pool area and showerhead for the outside rinse off shower when coming in from the beach could’ve had a closer spray holes to make it feel like you were actually rinsing off.
Loved that it was right on the beach, a relatively small island, not busy this time of year at all.

Cleanliness, a superficial make over would help a lot.
The beautiful beaches at right at your door. The bed was comfortable, there is fair size refrigerator and a microwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful and only a text away.

We loved the ease of check in - the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable with quick access to the pool and beautiful beach. Well located, plenty of parking, easy walk to everything. Would definitely stay again.

It is a little old, and not very posh. But it is exactly what you would expect.
Amazing location - right on the beach. Book room 422 - top floor with an amazing beach view. Fridge and microwave in the room plus a funky eating area.

Front door and a fence picket were broken when we stayed there six months ago; still broken. Pet fee is highway robbery!! There is no carpet so clean up is simple. Being fleeced by the new owner on the pet fees. It costs them practically nothing but they are screwing the patrons that have pets and want to be close to the beach. Did not give me advertised discount because I reserved room through third party and not motel directly.

The staff was not pleasant. As a guest at a wedding, the front desk was complaining about the tent the couple used to keep everyone dry from the rain. Seemed rude to complain other guests.

The toilets are very low in the regular rooms and in the handicapped room there's no where to hang your clothes, so you have to choose between hanging your clothes or having a handicapped bathroom.
It was right on the beach. Absolutely beautiful. Wonderful sunrises every morning in sunsets every night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

When we got to our room there was a huge puddle of water on the floor from the air conditioning. Nothing really matched in the room. Very outdated.
I couldn't get a better location! The beach was great and super close. We walked to several shops and restaurants.

Needs to be closer to the beach lol. Plus, turn the heat down in flordia, its hot
Beach front hotel was an excellent touch. Great room, loved the bathroom, plenty of soap given to me. Everything was super clean, i will be back! I also met someone from my hometown that works there, small world!!

The shower leaked the whole time and we told the people and they never sent anything so we had to deal with a soaked floor for the whole weekend

The facility is very dated, bed/pillows/linens were something you would experience in a rustic camp, Shower/toilet area was very cramped, the couch had expired its life a couple years ago, and no breakfast!
This was a very convenient location, next to an amazing restaurant.
