The Canopy is the perfect hotel for our visits to Ithaca. The lobby/restaurant area is warm and inviting, the staff is exceptional, always friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very comfortable and immaculate. We look forward to our next stay!

Staff is super welcoming and helpful. Very tasty breakfast included, capped to $25 and you pay for any excess after that. Nice and handy gym at the ground floor kept me active during my stay. Location is great, right downtown close to shops and restaurants. Parking is a block away and prices are reasonable, $10 per day.

Perfect location right off Ithaca Comms with one of shops, restaurants etc nearby. Parking on street or in nearby garage was easy. The hotel was modern, clean and beds were very comfortable!

The room was small for two adults and two 17 year olds. The attempt to create a 'dressing area' by dividing the room with a barn-style door fell a little flat for us. We would have preferred a larger sleeping area than the large amount of space set aside for luggage but that's a matter of preference. We were only there one night, but it felt a little cramped. As others say about remote parking, it was a minor inconvenience in that we couldn't easily dash to the car to grab a jacket or a couple of forgotten items. Parking was $10 a night, which is pretty reasonable but I somehow thought it was included with the room.

Generally clean, modern, attentive staff (smudged drinking glasses were immediately replaced when we asked for replacements). The lobby is attractive. We stayed on a weeknight, so the rate was reasonable.

The parking is not great; navigating all the one way streets made it hard to get to hotel entrance - better directions on website would help, with graphics. The shower temperature was uneven, got colder or hotter after finding the desired temp - happened every time for both of us.

Breakfast was very good, prompt service. The friendly and helpful staff really impressed us.

Our only complaint was that there was live outdoor music one night at a neighboring establishment. Thankfully it wasn't a super late night but it was still disruptive.

This was a well appointed hotel in downtown Ithaca. The rooms were comfortable and modern with a smart layout. There was some locally themed wall decor which was a nice touch as was the large throw rug on the floor (rather than standard printed wall to wall). The staff was friendly & helpful. We also liked the snacks/beverages available for purchase at the front desk (including beer & half bottles of wine) rather than an overpriced in room mini bar. Ithaca Commons is a short walk and there is a CollegeTown Bagel shop across the street. Cornell & Ithaca Colleges are a short drive away as are a multitude of walking.hiking trails.
