Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI reserved a king room through Booking.com, but when we opened the door to our room on the 15th floor, we discovered a double queen room. Thinking it was an error by the front desk, we went back down to reception. We were told we were “bumped” because we booked through a third party. So my confirmed reservation was not honored by the hotel. Unacceptable business practice! I didn’t back down, reaching out to Booking.com and hotel management, but we were never switched to a king room. The hotel did reduce the nightly rate and waived the resort fee. They didn’t “make it right” but they made the pill easier to swallow.
Location, location, location! Blocks away from Little Italy and the waterfront with loads of restaurants and attractions. Restaurant and bar (rooftop bar wasn’t open when we were there) and the best gym in a hotel. Our room was very quiet even though we were next to the elevator. Honestly, except for our room assignment, it was a great stay.

United KingdomGreat location with very clean rooms and facilities as expected. Breakfast was good but expensive. All the staff were very nice except the two ladies on reception when it came to checking out. It's a shame because it negates all the hard work of the other staff.

United StatesThe carte hotel was chic as much as it was safe, clean and a wonderful place to stay in downtown San Diego. The staff was always helpful with a smile and we found easy parking (paid) down the block. We were in easy walking distance to the harbor and little Italy. Our room had everything we needed with a great view if the city. The food at both restaurants and staff were excellent. We only wish we had more time to explore San Diego. So many great neighborhoods and dining options. The hotel was a gem!!

United States1.) The Bathroom was very nice EXCEPT for that hideous framed art they had that looks like a cross between an alien starfish lifeform, a parasitic worm and an eyeball looking at you - why in the world their interior designer chose this was beyond me; it actually startled me on a few occasions at night when I had to use the toilet. 2.) The Swimming Pool was closed and it was the middle of Summer!
This is possibly the best hotel you could stay in if you are planning to attend the San Diego Comic-Con and could not afford the unbelievably expensive hotels around the Convention Center. Still is a bit pricey; however, the amenities that come with this place will make this the “best value” hotel to make your Comic Con experience memorable and stress-free. First , it is a mere three miles from the airport and is near the Free Shuttle Bus stop to SDCC. The hotel has a nice modern look to it, with a restaurant at the lobby where you can have a heavy breakfast before heading to the Con. Theirbreakfast menu was delish, I didn’t even venture out anymore on any of the nearby brekkie joints. Just outside the elevator to my floor is a wall mounted ice and water dispenser . The hotel also replenished my water bottles (or should I say, Cartons) daily so I always had fresh water in my room. The King Bed City View room I had was chic and sizable . Room temp was nice and cold to offset the city’s summer heat, and I’m glad the staff gave me extra comforters and pillows. The walls were not entirely noise proof and I could still hear some muffled conversations but thank goodness not to the point of vulgar disruption. The room Tv has several channels but I was left wishing for a more extensive cable lineup. Wi-Fi signal was pretty good. Water pressure was decent. Thank goodness they also have a Keurig CoffeeMaker; however, the refrigerator was not cold enough. Bed is clean, very comfortable, no dust, no strange smells and no scratch marks. Staff and Valet have been courteous, amiable and responsive. The neighborhood also had a nearby Rite Aid Pharmacy, a Starbucks, a 7-11 store, a nice Mediterranean kebab place for any late to-go meal. The Little Italy Trolley Station that takes you to the rest of San Diego or Bus Depots uptown for that Los Angeles day trip is also a 7-minute walk from the hotel.

United StatesNothing except that the sink in the bathroom drained a little slowly.
We stayed a a night with our family dog. Our dog was so welcome and that made us happy. Of course the staff welcomed us, the two-legged as well. The room was immaculate. The pool area was very nice, cozy and well shaded due to its location. We walked towards the ocean easily and to Little Italy area for wonderful restaurant experiences, wine bar and bakery. Overnight street parking was possible (free after 6:00 pm and Sunday). Stayed for only one night but thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the hospitality.. Every dollar spent was so worthwhile.
