Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Statescan’t think of anything.
The continental breakfast and area were very nice. Def a step above the usual kind of thing. Very helpful staff from the front desk to the breakfast to housekeeping. While our room was small, we found it very clean and comfortable. The bathroom shower was large and the whole room had been tiled in a very nice way. Again, not the usual New York experience for midpriced hotels.

United StatesPerfect location, walkable to all theaters. 24 hr lounge with tea, coffee, snacks, and excellent breakfast. I kind of hate having to review this so favorably since I hope a room is available whenever I travel to NYC in the future. But no matter the facilities etc, the crown jewel of the Casablanca is the amazing, helpful staff at all levels. It is a wonderful place.

United KingdomA coffee machine in the room would have been nice. Ricks cafe was open 24/7 so it was possible to get an early morning coffee, but the convenience of a machine in the room would have been nice.
Breakfast was perfectly adequate. Described as a light breakfast, but there was plenty of choice - cereals, porridge, yoghurt, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice etc

United StatesThis is nothing that can be changed but it should be noted: the hotel is in a very, very old building--on one hand this is why it feels so cozy and charming! One drawback however is that the heat/AC is managed centrally. Fortunately for me the temp was absolutely perfect in my room the whole time I was there. It ran slightly cool at night which I like. I can imagine if you don't like the 'common' temp that could be a problem. One advantage to the central control is that I didn't have a noisy blower/fan going off and on all night which is often the case in other hotels. Finally, because of the age of the hotel some people might find the rooms are smaller or darker than they would like (I had a Queen room without a view). Again, this is typical for older hotels in NYC but be prepared for it. All that said, I would def stay here again.
This is a cozy, well situated small hotel that is a peaceful oasis after a day or night of NYC hustle bustle. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating--for instance, arranging for a cab for me to take me to the airport. The 24 hour cafe/common space on the second floor is bright, warm and cheerful and feels like a quiet country resort, not NYC. There is a limited but perfectly lovely breakfast in the morning (hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, toast, etc.) I really appreciated having access to fruit, pastries, water and coffee 24/7. A great place to refuel. My room was comfortable and quiet. Nice touches like complimentary water bottles, slippers, robes, etc. Location was perfect for any activity, show, etc. in Times Square. You can't get much closer!

United StatesI wish I could have controlled the heat in the room because I wanted it warmer at times, and I had to call someone to fix that for me.
The room was spotless, the staff was amazing, and Rick's Cafe was so cozy with a fire at all times and wonderful coffee and snacks. The location cannot be beaten! I loved feeling like I knew the people at the front desk and in the cafe since I saw the same people often. Oh, and the breakfast was perfect!
