shower leaked water onto the floor, TV and fridge were not plugged in when I arrived, space heater took a while to heat up, bar closes a little early

It is a vintage hotel, so there are small elevators and small bathrooms although our room had a surprisingly large closet. The windows open sideways and the window sill is low so you would not be able to safely open the window wide on hot days. The beds are very comfortable. Good tea and coffee making facilities, and cookies, make the lobby area an enjoyable place to relax.

Location next to Union Square ment that there could be late night noise. My husband thought that there should be a variety of pillows available because they were too plump for him. The power outlets for charging were not next to the bed That meant that if recharging, we needed to work at the desk. If I weren’t so lazy, I would have shifted the desk light to bed stand.

The coffee was not very good when we tried it but maybe the filter just needed to be changed? It's free though. We just bought coffee elsewhere. Maybe its good sometimes? Microwave in room would have been cool, but I can understand why hotels might not do that.

Location was amazing! Close to everything. The hotel is beautiful and I loved that it maintained some vintage details. The room was very clean. Having a refrigerator was helpful. There was no microwave in room though. There was a microwave in the lobby for guests to use but I felt a little awkward to go down there and heat things up. Endless tea, coffee, filtered water and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. It felt safe enough considering its San Francisco and you will encounter some unusual activity because its a big city. There were enough people around that I felt safe enough. Also the room had a safe for valuables, I love when hotels have this.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location and close to many attractions. The price for parking was reasonable for being downtown. The staff was friendly and there were cookies available in the lobby.

The heater was quite noisy and the elevator did not come for 10 minutes straight when I needed to check out so I had to carry my luggage down 14 flights of stairs.

The only thing that I found about the hotel,was the size of the room,I had the queen room for a week,for 2 people it would be tight,but if you travel solo,it's fine

The location was good,just a few mins from the bart station,also the busses are in the same location,so you can go anywhere in the city,get a clipper card,and you can go anywhere,you can also top them up at walgreens,there's one right nx to the hotel,staff were excellent at hotel,and the bed was mighty,so comfortable,
