Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe room may be a bit tight/small for some people. It was not an issue for us, but I can see others might not like it- particularly how the bed is up against the wall. If you’re sleeping on that side you’d have to climb over the other person to get out of bed.
Amazing location!!! So close to Broadway shows, subway, Times Square, etc. The bed was sooo comfortable and we loved the iPad controlled room and the fun features. The view from the rooftop bar was great (see picture). All the staff were friendly. They have what appeared to be a nice breakfast, but we did not participate.

On par with the good contemporary European hotels - new, clean, efficient, quirky design, fast elevators, Hans grove bath fixtures with good water pressure ( unheard in NY hotels). Was very pleasantly surprised, will be back if the price stays that competitive. Breakfast is worth $20 a person.

United StatesRoom was the perfect size for a solo traveler and the bed was very comfortable. Location was great - I planned this trip to see a handful of Broadway shows and most were within walking distance (Walter Kerr for Hadestown was less than a 5 minute walk and Music Box Theatre for A Picture of Dorian Gray was less than a 10 minute walk) or had subway stops right next to the hotel. Times Square was also about a 10 minute walk.

Switzerland- Location: Walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Hell’s Kitchen, MOMA, Rockefeller Center; subways upon exit - Facilities: bar with amazing view, gym, - Property offers the option for each day the room is not cleaned, a donation will be given to a charity; something that also is kind for the environment and the cleaners - Breakfast is amazing - Staff are helpful and friendly. Kudos to Kevin for helping me out with my check-in and making my stay in the hotel more comfortable. - Very interactive room where you can choose lighting, moods, TV channel from an Ipad. While it’s close to Times Square, the room is quiet.
