I have been going to Ocean City Maryland for years, first time staying at the commander would definitely return to this hotel! The location was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were very roomy. Would definitely return here !

The balcony doors are SO hard to open, definitely need fixed or replaced. This property is a nice place to stay, they just need to renovate instead of doing cheap repairs that look terrible. The new bathroom sinks are very cheap, and the toilet seat had marks on it. Surely they aren’t that expensive to replace…. And the wood bolted to the bottom of the door in our room .. Needs major renovation otherwise i really recommend this place!

Lighting in hotel room was lacking; the only overhead lights were in the bathroom & entry. The rest of the space was lit by lamps which made seeing in the kitchen a little difficult. Kitchen only had 2 pots (saucepan & small stockpot) I wasn't expecting a whole set but a frying pan for eggs would have been nice. Coffee maker spurted water all over when brewing coffee. No toilet paper holder in bathroom. Only One tiny towel bar (for a room that sleeps 4-6 people) above toilet even though there was a ton of empty wall space where they could definitely fit 2 more.

All staff we interacted with were friendly & helpful. Housekeeping staff were super attentive. Location was great. Beds were comfortable with ample pillows! Buildings were safe & secure (all areas required key card access to enter). There was also a dishwasher in the kitchen that I didn't realize would be there so that was a nice surprise.

Very few parking spots in their lot next to hotel; they do offer another parking lot for their guests nearby Philadelphia Avenue, about 1.5 blocks distance. Their indoor pool is small and shallow - 3 5 ft deep throughout.

Hotel is next to the boardwalk. Location, location, location. Staff is friendly and responsive. Views of the sunrise are almost unmatched.

I was hard to see the ocean from our room, and we could not hear the wave from the balcony because of the road noise.

We are repeat guests but had not stayed in the “Cabana” building before. It was a nice surprise to have the extra space and kitchenette.

Honestly the only thing I would really say is darker curtains. The view is to die for absolutely love it but the sun also comes up quick and very early, lights up the whole space lol..

The free breakfast was decent, smelled great, very clean, with a view to die for so definitely ask for high ground. .. parking was easy, definitely a nice peaceful getaway nothing to boost over but definitely right for the price..

They didn’t have coffee out this time so that I could watch the chilly sunrise with a warm beverage. I would also love the option of hot tea. The sunrise is my favorite part of my trips to the commander.

The location of the Commander is wonderful. I stay there every chance I get. The beds are also comfy.

The only thing I didn't like is that the hotel needs to update their photos for some of the rooms for booking purposes. I thought I was getting a full ocean front view from the photos posted on the room I had reserved. but in reality, I only had a partial ocean view. I feel like updated photos would help mitigate booking confusion.

I loved the hotels close proximity to the boardwalk, and it's had a TON of parking. Luggage carts were always available, and the staff were super friendly. Honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Ocean City.
