Our toilet wouldn't flush right.

Noticed that since previous stays, that while certain in room amenities (microwave, TV, refrigerator) have been updated or replace, the air conditioning unit need replacing due to abuse from previous guests in some of the rooms.

The motel is excellently located near the freeway, gas stations, beaches, restaurants, markets, various fast-food outlets, and malls. Never have to go far to get what I need, and in some instances can walk to get what I need without using the car (save on gas).

We had two lights that didn't work in our room and we had to contact the desk twice to get it done. And you should be ashamed to call the snack we picked up in the morning "breakfast". 2 granola bars water and a crumpled packaged cinnamon roll

To walk to town you had to pass by areas where people live in the parks, so I felt safe doing this during the day but not when it gets dark. This limited my nightlife.

We changed/upgraded our room. The ones in front are very noisy. The ones on the back are much better. Breakfast was a simple 'grab-away'

I recall I booked breakfast for §13 per day for four days. Breakfast here was a mini "grab-and-go-bag" filled with one shrink-packed cinnamon roll (not nice), one cereal bar, one jogurt and one mini mini orange juice (see picture, doesnt show the roll). There was nothing salty. Coffee I was told is the drip coffee in the room, creamer, no milk. When breakfast is offered, I expect a at least a small breakfast buffet with some bread, some salty options and coffee and milk. I took the bag only once, cos it wasnt worthy. Unfortunately, I was too occupied for reclamation while there. Hotel is a motel rather, no room cleaning. Its right next to a highway so its noisy. The fridge and the air-conditioning in the bathroom were so noisy, I had to unplug. My bed was fine, but a collleague had bed bugs and had to change rooms.

I needed cheap and as close as possible to a conference. I was happy with the price-performance ratio or made up with it. The massage jet of the shower was great. There were options for food, supermarket and coffee in walking distance.

I'm a do not disturb kind of person so when I need additional toiletries, I wouldask the house keeper. But there was one who was really rude and seemed like she was keeping tabs on us. Asking "what room you are in?" In a very rude tune and when I asked for a couple of trash and laundry bags, cause my stay was about a week and the bags were small, she was rude and gave me less than I asked.

Rooms are very, very outdated. Breakfast consists of a brown bag. Booking.com should add brown bag breakfast in the description. The only thing I see that changed was the paint on the building.

For a Wyndham property, the condition of the rooms was very marginal with television wires hanging off the wall, poor maintenance of the interior of the rooms. Certainly, unless for the price and the convenient location, we would not have stayed here.

Hotel was right off the 5 freeway and only a few minutes from downtown Encinitas and the beach. Very convenient.
