Definitely in the middle of being renovated, which is understandable. Since it’s still in transition, there was still a very faint smell of smoke in the room, what I believe to be a leak or water damage filling the carpet near the bathroom door, quick fix patches like everywhere. I let a staff member at the front desk know about the leak and her response was “ok”

9 minute walk to Moonlight Beach! Great place to put your stuff and head to the beach for the day if you’re coming in from out of state/town.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. It was loud. And the air conditioner did not work. We were hot. I wouldn’t stay again. Also had to lug a family of four luggage up three flights of stairs.

Needs up dating. Hard beds and old pillows. I dont care for carpet in rooms just seemed dirty so we wore sandles . Safe was removed from the room. Noise due to traffic and loud air conditioners.

Easy access to the eatery and store across the street. Easy access to the freeway. Short drive to Moonlight beach for a morning walk. Request back side of building for quieter noise level.

No water in the room. Just kinda rundown rooms. Only two towels in the room, we were a party of four. Pretty simple stuff, shouldn't be an issue.

It was under renovations and unclear if or when stairs were available for use and where to park plus theres only one elevator on the back side. Also had to keep going back each day to get key cards recalibrated.

The location is perfect if all you want to do is spend your time at the beach. Its only a 10 min walk. Staff was nice and even refunded us our last day when we decided to go home early due to weather and catching a cold. The grab and go breakfast was simple but nice had yogurt, danish, water bottle, and granola bar. Overall a mostly pleasant stay for the price.

TV was complicated to turn on but they were quick to help us. Coffee pot didn't work. Replaced quickly. Phone worked off and on. Bed was pretty hard as in very firm.

Front desk staff who are clearly tired of dealing with customers who are annoyed with the many petty cost-saving measures. We were asked to bring down our used towels down to the front desk to get more for the second day, which I can almost understand if they have lost a lot of towels to theft. But then after carrying the towels all the way down from the far side of the hotel, I am told to go out again and around the corner where there is a bin to throw them in. So much for inventory tracking. Our hair dryer was broken, as was the replacement. Clearly a recurring problem, so they should have a spare dryer that doesn't require a maintenance person to attach it to the wall.

Mostly the location. The maintenance man who came to fix our hairdryer responded very quickly and had a very positive attitude.

The rooms are old and need some updating, but that is reflected in the rate for the room.

The management was very good to us. I had to go up there every week for about 10 weeks and we stayed there one night per week. For the money, this was the best value. We did have a couple of problems but they were addressed promptly by management. It is a good value for the money, especially in Encinitas. Not fancy, but a good value. It was quiet at night. I was very grateful for that.
