Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom is quite small which meant it was difficult to store our suitcases. No fridge in our room but we did request one and they delivered. Only problem was that it was left on the floor in an already small room and it turned out that it didn’t actually work properly. Lifts are very busy and take a while at certain times of the day.
Location was great with great views. Friendly staff and room was cleaned well each day

GermanyThe staff in the breakfast room could be a bit more professional. Nevertheless, they were all friendly.
The staff at the reception including the concierge were very nice. Joanna and Jacob did a great job and made us feel special despite the amount of check-ins.

United KingdomEverything was good with our room, desk and luggage service, however we didn’t have the best experience at the rooftop bar. There was only one server that evening and she was paying more attention and chatting to a particular group at the bar ( friends maybe?) so we waited a while to be served. We asked if we could pay using Apple Pay as my partners physical card hadn’t arrived before we left on holiday, she said yes but that she preferred we didn’t and if we had a card. Didn’t give a reason. We asked for a bill and receipt as we’re pretty confident she charged us for one drink twice. She said she couldn’t do that because that meant she’d have to go get receipt paper and made it seem like that was an impossible journey and very inconvenient for her. One of the luggage staff people asked how we were getting to the airport to which we said Uber. They said they could arrange for a hotel driver for flat rate of $95 as Ubers are more expensive ( I checked and yes they were at the time averaging about $115). We accepted the offer, the car arrived extremely quickly. We get to the airport however and the driver says it’s $138 ( not including tip). We paid obviously but wouldn’t recommend using their service, you can get an Uber for cheaper.
Really close to time square, but just far enough to not have the noise and foot traffic. Also close to port authority which is good for transport.

United KingdomRooms are quite dark, would benefit from a main light. Also unless you’re used to noise when you sleep you can’t leave the windows open because of all the beeping outside all day and night (that’s obviously just city life and can’t be helped).
Very central location, great for links to Penn station and subways. Very close to Times Square and great food places. Comfy spacious bed. Can leave luggage with bell boy which is good.

United StatesThe lobby. Chaotic and woefully lacking in seating. Water from the bathroom tap was cloudy which is strange since NYC is known for its quality tap water. Also we couldn’t find anywhere to buy water within the hotel. Also, ice machine was broken

SwedenDesign of the room was rather basic but it was compensated by other advantages of this hotel
The hotel is situated within walking distance to many NY attractions. The staff were super friendly and helpful. And legendary Double Tree cookies are really tasty. Our room was situated on the 31 floor so we could enjoy the city view. The room was clean and the bathroom was very fresh. In addition, for some miraculous reason we managed to book this hotel at least trice as cheaper as similar places cost in this area.

United StatesOverall I had a good experience, but here are some suggestions for improvement: The elevators were always busy and hard to get! I would have preferred if they had a warmer blanket on bed during the winter time. Check in time is at 3 pm which is very late, it could be at 2 pm to be more convenient. And some of the Reception staff could be more welcoming!
Great location, short distance to multiple locations, quiet area in night time, clean rooms, renovated bathrooms. Welcoming message on our TV screen was a nice touch!
