Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandNo complaints, all I would note is that while the location is central, 8th avenue/port authority area does have a lot of homeless people. It’s still safe but 8th is as New York as it gets.
- Staff at reception were friendly and very helpful. - Room was cozy and comfortable - They have a unlimited supply of free cookies!! - Location is very central

United StatesThe corridors are tight... the lift lobby is cramped ... sitting in front of the hotel is always wet due to sprinklers for the plants ... no smoking hotel with NO designated smoking area.
The location of the hotel is quite convenient... close lot of eating options ... the staff are well mannered and responsive ... the breakfast restaurant has a average spread in the morning ... the place is secured and entry after 10pm needs room card verification .... rooms are compact and small ... so are the bath rooms and wardrobe.... cant expect more in a Manhattan hotel.

United StatesOur room was facing 8th Avenue, quite noisy ! Only 3 elevators for 28 floors ... gets busy at checkout time. Short on staff so check in was a bit long. Marlon is super nice !
Great location, close to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Times Square and theaters . small rooms though!

United KingdomRoom was slightly smaller than we expected - not much room to open cases and organise belongings. Lobby area always busy/crowded and some staff seemed rather brusque and could have been more friendly/welcoming, especially on arrival. Was looking forward to drinking/eating in the rooftop bar (fabulous views) but found out on arrival that this was over 21s only, so we could not do so with our son., which was a shame. Was also told on arrival that $200 had to be held for damage deposit, despite booking confirmation stating $150. Hoping this will be returned to my card promptly.
Location was excellent, just 5 minutes walk from Penn Station. Rooms were clean and modern and reasonably quiet and comfortable. Free cookies on arrival and leaving was a nice touch.

United StatesThe room was very tiny. Both my husband and I couldn’t fit in the bathroom together. Also, the room was so tiny that we had to place dirty suitcases on bed to remove our clothing. No dresser space and a tiny little closet.
Great location and very modern

United KingdomOn check in the staff wanted to charge me the day rate rather than the fee on Booking.com. Told them i would pay what was on the booking and nothing more. Was given a hard stare but they gave in. Do not pay more that what is shown on your booking. You do have to pay a security deposit, but no resort fees etc. NY stinks of weed, just get used to it x
Nice and clean, rooms are small but it really doesnt matter. Some reviews say the lifts are slow, i never experienced this. They were fine, dont worry about it. Liberty Bagels is just up the road ! Yay! Subway is close by too!

Excellent location, good quality room with fantastic view, coffee maker in room, can open window, quiet air conditioning. Perfect for sightseeing in any part of New York, on foot or by metro, felt very safe walking around nearby. Local streets much better kept than in many UK cities. Good security. Thank you, Hilton.

United KingdomVery difficult to communicate with the hotel beforehand and even when I managed to contact them my request had not been actioned on my arrival at the hotel so staff were left organising a change of room at midnight. This could have been avoided and made the initial welcome easier for everyone.
Great location, near Penn train station and the major attractions and subway. Very willing and helpful staff.

LebanonI have no major complaints, but we had 4 suitcases and the space around the bed was rather small to fit them all. Because we only stayed 2 nights (I assume) the room wasn’t cleaned after the first night. I would’ve preferred if it was, specifically that during our previous stay (the week before) the room was cleaned thoroughly daily.
Location, less than 5-minute walk to Penn station. Room was super clean at check-in. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you team! Hotel has a very nice view of the city from the rooftop. Bonus: they serve the most delicious complimentary cookies daily! Would definitely stay here again if I come back to NYC!

DenmarkHomeless and quite a busy area outside. If your looking for a more peaceful stay this is not the location
Overall the room was very clean, modern, and well functioning. The location had many dodgy and homeless people once you walked out. Really changes the dynamic as DoubleTree works hard to make it pleasant inside.
