Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI was very upset that the "FREE PARKING" in the list of included items makes no mention of it being first come first serve. The hotel has very limited parking. If you don't get one of the 10 parking spaces you could have to park on the street which has 2-hour parking limits. NO HEAT: My room did not have any heat. It was just below 50 degrees overnight during my stay. and my room was about 58 when I checked in. I like a cold room but not that cold. I could not get the heater to turn on. Then I found that the window closing mechanism (crank) was broken. I could not fully close the window. I finally had to turn on the hair dryer to get a little heat in the room. By the way, the hair dryer switch is broken too. I had to use the ground fault switch to turn it on and off. There is no refrigerator in the room to cool your drinks. Didn't really need one the night I stayed but it would be nice and they have the space for one under the sink.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The room is well laid out and clean. I had a very favorable impression when I walked into the room. My stay was in early November so the room was a bit chilly.

IsraelThe room was a bit run-down. There was a blue stain in the center of the bathtub, and a window screen was taped back together. The wifi had a weak signal, three different networks, and maxed out at 10/2.
The location is fantastic for public transit, food, culture, and the university. There is parking. Clean but a bit spartan.

United StatesMy room was super ghetto looking; it didn’t match what was shown in the booking.com images at ALL. the bed was super worn looking, the lighting bad, the walls super stained, carpet sad. I didn’t even get under the covers I was so freaked out how dirty it looked inside.
Maybe the location. But that was about it.

It is probably safe. That is, however, the minimal positive comment I can make.

SwedenI didn't mind the run-down interiors. However, I had three notable issues: 1. The room smelled of mold or mildew through the entire stay. 2. All four of ceiling and wall-mounted lamps were white or "daylight" color -- this can disrupt your sleep rhythm if you get too much of this light in the evening or at night. At least the bathroom and the sink light need to be "warm white" (evening) color. 3. The air conditioner makes an unpleasant raspy sound.
The location is perfect for a stay in Berkeley, right in the middle of central Berkeley. Staff were nice. The place was also really quiet.

United StatesThere is NO ICE MACHINE. No AC unit, just a fan, it was so hot in the room I had a hard time falling asleep. Staff was nice but took a very long time to come to the window there was a line us us waiting to check in, they apologized and said they were busy watching tv. We were fortunate enough to go during a day not many people were checked in because their parking lot is tiny.

United KingdomThe room was very old and tired, and clearly didn't appear to have been updated in a long time. The curtains were torn and didn't fully close. The WiFi worked OK, but given that the Bay Area is known for fast internet speeds, the measured download (< 5 mbps) and upload (< 3 mbps) were disappointing. The air conditioning was very old, and did not work properly. The lack of mini-fridge was also a pity, but we knew this when booking. Most of all, the room was incredibly expensive for the quality.
The check-in process was easy, and the person on the front desk was helpful. There was an elevator, which was helpful for our cases, and there seemed to be good parking (although we did not bring a car). The location was quite good – close to Downtown BART.

United StatesThe bed was squeaky and remarkably uncomfortable. The pillows were hard, and I could have used another one. The room was stuffy and the windows didn't open, thus the air conditioner had to be turned on. And it was WAY too noisy
The room was clean, large, and quiet. It was close to everything I needed. Navigation to and from was easy. Coffee was good and the quality bathroom amenities was good.

United StatesWhen I got there (around 7pm) it took quite a while to get a staff member to come let me in to checkin. Office door locked, even though its sign said "This door must remain unlocked while building is occupied." When we returned from dinner that night, our room was REALLY hot as it had been baking in the sun all day and the windows have been modified so they do not open. The air conditioner unit was not working properly. Calling the front desk went to voicemail. I went down to the office and it was locked again (this was about 11pm) and despite ringing the doorbell and knocking loudly, no one came. Another guest came out of another room and said "There's no service at night." What? Is this a hotel or my grandparents' house? We had to force-prop the window partially open and leave the ROOM DOOR open to ventilate it or we wouldn't have been able to sleep. Nice location and decent room; abysmal service. It is cheaper than other places nearby, but you get what you pay for in terms of customer service.
great location. comfortable room and decent bed (a bit firm for my taste but ok).

United StatesAlthough the motel advertised “free parking ,” they had spaces for only 8-10 cars. so other guest would have to park on the street which is metered. Also, no hot water at the sink in the room.
Centrally located with easy access to restaurants.
