We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United StatesTook my twin girls to lalapalooza for a birthday present and we was supposed to have 2 queen beds we only had 1 twin bed. The kitchen was disgusting and I triple bagged a few water bottles to put in the shared fridge that had an awful stink coming out of it. The bathroom was clean enough thank God. We literally only stayed in the room to sleep. The other guests were kind and felt the same way about the kitchen.

France- The bathroom is very dirty. The owner cleaned it once a while, only once during our 3-4 days stay. - I had no information about the arrival: I arrived in front of a closed door without the code. The owner sends the code only few hours before official check-in, so being on a plane and then without internet, I could not check his message. - Room is pretty noisy during the night, my wife could not sleep because owner was talking really loud over the phone at like 2 am. - It's actually very expensive taking into consideration the cleanliness and the area of the house. - The pictures are not accurate. The room definitely don't look like the nice pictures.
The bed and mattress were actually very good compared to most places / hotels, without any hole in the middle.

United StatesThe house is not appropriate for renting. There is clear evidence that it is an unfinished fixer/upper, like untainted staircase, holes on some walls and the ceiling, broken lamp in my room, no lighting and waste water leak in the basement bathroom, etc. My father in law got dirty as waste water from the ceiling of the bathroom in the basement poured on him while he was in it. When we arrived, we had to asked for toilet paper as it was not available in the bathroom. The floor of the common areas were not cleaned during our two-night stay. There were not enough utensils in the kitchen so guests in four rooms shared one pot, one pan and three or four bowls. Other guests on the same floor with me and on the second floor were noisy, walking, talking, using speaker phones loudly as late as midnight and as early as 4 am. The neighborhood seems to have many vacant and unmaintained houses. If I had known it like that I would not have booked it.

I arrived at this place, everything was dirty, a roommate smoking weed, the oven wopened with 350 degrees to warm up the place, dangerous with carbone monoxyde gas, hair in the bathroom, poop in the toilet, garbage full, dirty fridge with dead food inside, the dishes were dirty and full. The sheets and towels dirty. I do not recommend this place in a dangerous area, I didn’t know as a French tourist.

United StatesThe air conditioner was not on when we arrived. It was 81 degrees. We left when the host ignored us. There was no toilet paper and the shared spaces were not welcoming. We did return the next day since we paid for 3 nights. The temperature was good and we met the host then. One bathroom for 5 rooms was inconvenient and the apartment is not on the first floor, its on the second floor with a rickety hand hold. Be careful.
The bed was comfortable. It was much cleaner and more comfortable than a motel room.

United StatesThe room stenches with cigarette smoke, evidenced by the ash tray on the dresser. The tub is very stained, the floor creeks, and sirens go off every 30 minutes. The bed is sunk on the left side and the mattress is hard. There is a dog in the place and shocked me when I first entered and kept barking throughout the night - I slept with my ear buds in. There was no mention of a dog in the write up. When I left, the dog lunged at me and bit my leg. The pictures on the app do not at all resemble the actual room.

This is an airbnb-like residence. I chose it because it is close to the subway station and it takes 11 minutes to walk and stayed there for three nights! The rooms are all on the second floor, and when you climb the stairs a big dog comes to greet you in the dark! The big dog was sleeping on the sofa in the living room, and there were blankets and bones on the floor where the dog had been lying. You need to enter three doors with three different codes to enter your room. There are only three pillows on the bed in the room! Searching the many cabinets and drawers I couldn't find any usable quilts or blankets! The operator is neither the owner nor local, so we had to sleep with our clothes on. The kitchen was littered with uneaten dishes and the sink was filled with dirty plates and bowls. All of this is actually bearable because when traveling we leave early and come home late, as long as we have a place to sleep! As long as someone gave us a blanket, we would be satisfied, but we were disappointed! Stayed for three days and nothing changed, there were only three pillows on the bed! I have stayed in various types of residential houses. No matter how simple the conditions are, at least they will provide a variety of blankets and quilts, unless otherwise specified, guests need to bring their own sleeping bags! A very bad place!

BrazilThe house is in Englewood, a very dangerous community in South Chicago. Even being Brazilian and being used to poor neighborhoods I felt very unsafe walking during the day, and had no courage to go out after sunset. I stayed only 1 night from the 17 was I supposed to stay.
Terence is very friendly. The seems to be secure with many code locks to access. The kitchen is equipped with the basics to cook.
