Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI’ve stayed in this location before, usually in the same room. This time I got a different room and it wasn’t as clean as I would want it to be.
The location is great and the rooms are very spacious.

United StatesThey could care more about their rooms, they are disgusting and there are stains all over the sheets and curtains. They need to care more about properly cleaning their rooms, curtains and sheets. I found 3 stink bugs, and carpet was nasty. If the place was treated with more care, it would be terrific.
The like the set up of the room the upstairs and downstairs.

United StatesIt’s outdated. Our room had some updates, but it was clear it wasn’t very well done. The parking lot needs repairs, but it was ok. The sink faucet was a tad wobbly. One of the chairs had broken springs.
Close to West Point is the best thing about this! The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, just outdated. It’s near an Emergency Management building, so we felt very safe. The shower was hot. There was a fridge, microwave, and iron. We would stay here again for the convenience and price.

ChinaThe facility in the room are pretty old. I guess the telephone in the room is even older than my age (I am 51 years old). Find nothing can be described as cleanness.
Location!Location!Location! If you are attending USMA events, and put location as the first priority, here is the good choice. Very close and easy to access to USMA campus.

United StatesGood location for access to West Point and downtown Highland Falls. The room was simple (with very basic amenities), but exceptionally clean and comfortable. The property was quiet and the staff was very friendly and easily accessible. Great place to stay if you're in town for an overnight and don't want to spend $$$.

United StatesThe outside door handle is apparently supposed to be lifted up to keep it from grinding (per owner), yet there is no indication on the door for this unusual necessity. The "new" renovations were not planned by a designer. This was obvious due to the dated, mismatched colors of the walls, floors and woods. The "art" was 3 framed posters, with 2 of the 3 posters exactly the same. The mirror was good but oddly landscaped instead of portrait. There was a curling iron burn on the bathroom countertop. The parking lot is in pretty awful shape. But I appreciated the effort and saving $$.
It had the basics we needed: 1) relatively speaking, very close to West Point, 2) one of the cheapest options in this overpriced area, 3) comfortable beds, and 4) clean. The friendly part-owner of this family business was nice, eager to please, and proud of his hotel. He stated proudly that the room was "newly renovated". While the shower was great, I cannot imagine what the non-renovated rooms looked like. The blankets were "gray girls". The room was clean, except for two towels with one or two tiny specks on them each, that icked out my son, and one little centipede. I would stay here again to save $90-150/night compared to the Thayer. It had a kitchen sink, microwave and minifrig.
