Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesInternet in our room didn't work properly. We had to use our own Hotspot to watch streaming shows. No ice!!!!??!??! What on earth? The closet in the room is dumb. It can't open quite halfway due to the placement of it and the front door hinge. Therefore it's impossible to use the top 2 drawers easily. They didn't seem prepared for the breakfast crowd(weird) the tables were dirty, dirty dishes piled up, bagle station dirty, ran out of several things more than an hour before breakfast ended. Just some details someone has missed and this place would be fantastic!
Free breakfast, free wine/beer for unwind hour, free espresso/coffee anytime, the little kitchenette in our room,

United StatesWe only wished there was more of a variety for breakfast. But what they had to offer looked really good.
Location was perfect. We were within 10 minutes or less of all of our activities. The kids loved hanging out at the pool and hot tub! Everything was beautiful.

United StatesI did not like the location. The property is not in the best area of Waco. But you can go to other areas quickly.
The hotel is beautiful, clean and new. The bed and room are comfortable. Breakfast is surprisingly good as you have a choice for warm options. The staff is professional and helpful.

United StatesThe coffee was the worst I have ever tasted. I tried 5 different ways and varieties, but all were all horrible and bitter, no matter how much flavoring and sugar I added. Plus they only have one coffee machine and no directions. It was a weird machine. But the hot chocolate was good. The "art" on the walls in the room were odd, but nothing offensive. The couch bed springs dig in your back. I know they make really comfortable foam couch bed mattresses, inexpensive now a days and that would be much appreciated, if they improved those, in the future. But, the number one thing I did not like is the huge 5G tower in the same parking lot! I actually was unable to sleep from being "wound up" from the effects coming off of that.
The bed was the most comfortable motel bed I can remember sleeping in! The heated pool in the month of Nov. was a very nice surprise! We were swimming in 40 degree weather outside! Nice hot tub outside, too. The changing lights underwater in the pool gave a nice atmosphere. Rooms were very clean, new feeling and surprisingly stocked with silverware, pots, pans, dishes, glasses! Even had a stove top to cook on! Nice sized fridge. Shower was nice and modern (bright shiny white tile) Breakfast was pretty good. Filtered drinking water in the rooms !!

MexicoAnkit Bhakta, the General Manager, asked me to comment on any trouble spots I observed in addition to the areas I praised. My only question was: "If the hotel were to have any older, mature staff, could they opt for a nametag that read Mrs, Ms, Mr, etc... rather than just a first name. (I'm old school about this sort of thing.) His read, "Ankit." He gave an intelligent and thoughtful answer on wishing to present an informal, approachable image to guests but that of course if, for example, Barbara Smith wished to be called Mrs. Smith, that was her prerogative. There was nothing I didn't like.
I could say that I'm an expert in hotels. I first worked in one of the best hotels in South Carolina under a strenuous and demanding training programme in 1968 and have since stayed in the full range of hotels from the greatest, storied hotels of the world to dusty, roadside motels in rural Nebraska - and all levels in between. The Element Wako provides the best conceivable value for an American hotel possible in America today. This didn't just happen. I asked to speak with the Hotel Manager, Ankit Bhakta. I found him educated, elegant, courteous and, I have to say a hotel visionary. He is also a partner in an independent local hotel group clustered around Waco of which this is but one of maybe five if I recall. I enjoyed the bar of the hotel until late and was downstairs to observe early morning preparations beginning at 5:00 am in the morning. One of the early morning staff made sure that the coffee (delicious) was ready for me within minutes. It was a joy to see what is possible but not practiced in any hotel in its price range today that I have visited. I listened to other guests. Their experiences mirrored, though through less practiced eyes, my own. They loved it. A full service hotel at a moderate price? Ask yourselves, when did you last come across such a place conveniently located just off of the highway? For young people the answer will probably be "Never." All staff were pleasant and knowledgeable - maintenance, the desk clerks, the lady cooking breakfast to order in the morning, and to the General Manager himself. It is a pleasure for me to review the Element Waco, and I will certainly be staying there again if I don't choose to explore another of this hotel group's offerings in Waco. If this level of quality for the money is its trademark, I can look forward to staying in any of them. This visit we were just passing through. For a longer stay in Waco I might try a downtown location of theirs. I would call Mr.

United StatesThe light around the mirror in the bathroom is not very good for putting on makeup and styling hair. There was only one trash can and it was in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have another one in the room.

United StatesThe complimentary breakfast was a bit chaotic. There should be a numbering or name system when ordering food to be made such as the omelette. We ordered to omelettes and they were taken by somebody else so we had to re-order and wait.
